BO in BLACK BRANCH SWAMP
Bo treed under the FULL MOON in Black Branch Swamp tonight. He had to cover over a Mile of Swamp to strike this Bandit but it was a good track and he ran him over 200 yards and made him take to this medium size Swamp Gum Tree and I found him pretty quick as you can see his back end and tail in the center of the bottom picture. Now that I'm done cutting those 3 huge Sinker Cypress Logs I can get back to hunting every night. Cutting those logs with the Chainsaw Mill was wearing me out and leaving me with Severe Muscle Cramps every evening. Glad it's done.
Thanks Eddie for the Compliments on the Wood and yes it's High Dollar Dining Tables when they are built and finished. A place in Louisiana does Great work making Trestle Tables the Old Way and there prices start at 4,500.00 for a Sinker Cypress Table. I saw you are making some fine crosses with your hounds and working with Mike and John crossing them up. That is Great the crosses yaw are making and I feel you will see some great results and I wish yaw the Best with them, Take Care.

Pinnacle Style with Copper Trim Bands and Lazered Etching with Messages. My 4 will say, " BOGUE CHITTO BLUES " . Can't wait to have these Fine Calls hung around my neck made out of Sinker Cypress I recovered from the River older than the Sport of Coon hunting itself!! When I stand under a Monster Bald Cypress that BO is treed on and Blow that Squaller it will be a Special Moment Indeed!! Especially if I find the Coon, Lol! Thanks to Nick Jennings for having the idea of us getting some calls made from my wood. I have been so busy the thought never crossed my mind. If anyone else would like one of these Custom Made Sinker Cypress Coon Calls, then PM me and I will give you a price and put more wood blanks in my shipment to Josh on Monday.
The Soldier Flag picture I took almost a year ago just at the Start of Memorial Day weekend was shared 10's of thousands of times and went viral on the internet. I had over 1,000 friend request and people from all over wanting a print of it. This one came in today for a guy that wanted a 20 X 30 Print. I was scared it wouldn't be clear and would look grainy but it turned out Beautiful as you can see. Anyone wanting a print of this let me know and I will hook you up and you could also get you some Sinker Cypress for the picture frame. Happy Mothers Day to all the Mothers Past, Present and Future.

BRIGHT MOON
Bo in Black Branch Swamp with Bright Moon in the Background. Tough night with a Tough Track in the Nastiest Part of the Swamp there is. Water everywhere made for a tough challenge for Bo. Will remember this hunt not for all the Coons Treed because we didn't tree any but for the Old Bottle I found deep in the Swamp that took a Cork in the Top, wasn't any threads. Snow said looked like a Vey Old Ketchup Bottle near 100 years Old.

BLUE LONE SURVIVOR
BOGUE CHITTO BLUE LONE SURVIVOR meet MASON STEELE!! Mason has asked me everyday how the pups were doing off BOB and SHEBA and BO and ANN. We had him today and he wanted to go to Mr. Jacks or Sleepy's and see his pups. So we talked to Mr. Jack and off we went to the PEARL RIVER BOTTOMS. I LOVE these 2 pictures of a MAN with his HOUNDS and a BOY with his PUP. The Man might be a little bigger in size than the Boy, BUT, they are BOTH the exact same age at HEART when it comes to the LOVE of a BLUETICK PUP. The same exact age I am also at HEART. Hunting may come and go for all of us BUT BLUETICK PUPS ARE FOR LIFE.

WATER CHAMP BOB
Got to BRAG on this Swamp Water Champ Ole Bob. A few weeks ago as yaw know Mr. Ed came down to get Bob so him and Caleb could keep him in the woods some until I got my back pain straightened out and could hunt a dog like they need hunting. I hunted Bob 11 months and the last half of those was Painful hobbling along just trying to hunt him as much as I could stand the pain but the past few months had got less and less. Mr. Ed wasn't impressed with him the few times they got out to hunt him since he's had him. He found a friend of his that's helping out and got to hunt Bob a few times so he got somewhat familiar with his mouth and the way he operated. They didn't get to hunt him at all this past week but the friend was headed to Bluetick Days in Michigan and wanted to take Bob so Mr. Ed said why not. Better than setting in the pen. Well the Swamp Hound from the waters of BLACK BRANCH SWAMP Won his first cast ever entered in by scoring on 3 coons and a slick. He got 3rd place in his division of the YOUNG GUNS SHOOTOUT. His Littermate Brother, Spirit, placed 2nd! I'm proud of BOB as I knew he had it in him or I wouldn't have fought the Pain to keep him in the woods. He's far from being in top form of where I know he should be to be a top contender but last night he was good enough for the CAST WIN! GO BOB!

SMILIN BOB
Bob and Bo are both out of Bocephus. Both were born on June 26th, but 2 years apart. Both got their first win at Bluetick Days in the Young Guns Shootout with Bo getting 1st Runner up last year and Bob getting a 3rd place this year. Pretty Cool.

Steve I spectated on the cast Bob was on friday night at Bluetick days and even though things didnt fall his way, I was impressed with him. you have a nice hound there and can see why you like him, I would enjoy feeding him as well.
Steve are there any sisters to him that you know of?

BOB
Thanks Dave, no he didn't look good Friday I heard he minused out pretty quick. Heard the Kitten Coons are down and I guess all the Coon Scent everywhere had him rattled. Not making excuses just know he was extremely accurate down here and the 2 trips up to Mr. Ed's in the Fall. Never had him there in the Spring and in the young coon so just something with hunting that will have to get took care of and with experience. There are No Sisters to him. Only 5 males in that Litter. Hope you had a great time and sure wish I could have been there. Have a Safe Trip home and Take Care.

Congratulations to all who are involved with Bob and his development up to this point.
BOB
Thanks Gary. That would start with Mr. Ed the Breeder and the others that breed these Blue dogs. Also his Grandson, Caleb helped him with drags and such for Bob when he was just a few months old. Then Jason Meyers got him for a little while and had him treeing easy coon but then work got in the way of hunting and Bob was laid up a few months at the time when he needed hunting the most. I got him June of last year when he was 11 months old and it was a Job getting him back going and focused on Coon then he really went to looking good in October, November and December but then my Back Troubles started slowing me down and Bob has suffered again when he needed the woods time and pushed the most. 2 set backs that wasn't anybody's fault just the way life goes. Then Mr. Ed came about a month ago to get him and see if Caleb and him could keep him in the woods a few nights a week until I could get my back straightened out to where I could hunt him hard. Mr. Ed has a friend and I'm sorry, but can't remember his name right now, but he has hunted him some helping us out and he's the one that handled him at Bluetick Days. He has his hands full because I know how much Bob had slipped backwards because of lack of hunting compared to how good I had him looking back in the Fall. A good prospect needs that consistent hunting time night after night to find his Grove and Bob hasn't had that for months. Hoping he will get it now with the good help of Mr. Ed's Friend and Caleb being out of school. Bob has the Tools to be a good one, we just have to get those Tools Sharpened up and keep them Sharp.

BOGUE CHITTO BLUE ROSE
This is Rose off BO and ANN. She is one I'm getting from the cross and also one more. Was only getting 1 but after thinking about it decided I better get 2 and see how they progress and which one I will like best. Kennel been empty almost here lately but me and Mason about to fill her back up with good pups. Gonna have to take a trip to Sleepy's next week and look them over to make my other pick. They all look so good in the pictures and videos he sends me it's going to be a tough choice but I always like one that catches my eye by the way it moves around and carries itself around the others. I'm looking for the Queen Bee that knows she's the Queen!

Rose
Steve that sure is a pretty pup. She looks like Bo already. She should make a good one. Take care Steve, I'll be calling you soon.
ROSE and MOTLEY CREW
We made the trip to Baton Rogue early this morning to Sleepy's to see the Litter of Bo X Ann girls. I must say they are a fine looking bunch of girls! It was tough for Mason and I to make our pick of the Litter but in the end we settled on one with a Motley Face and we named her Bogue Chitto's Motley Crew. Ann has done a fine job along with Sleepy getting these pups to this point looking so fine. Ann recognized me and Mason and sniffed my pockets looking for her Cheese Snack, lol! If I would have thought about it I would have had her a slice. Hoping all continues to go well with the Pups and we get our Rose and Motley Crew picked up in about 4 weeks. Thanks Mr. Jack for the Compliment on Rose. She does look like Bo with that Black head and that made us decide to get 2 of these fine pups instead of 1. I finally got my appointment to get those Back Injections on JUNE 12th. Sure hope they work because Mason and a pen full of Pups are going to be depending on me.

Some fine looking pups, Steve. I think you could close your eyes and grab any two and they will be just fine.

GARDEN BOUNTY
Just a few Garden pictures of my Garden that me and Mason planted back in March. Best Garden I have Ever had. Sweet Corn is 9 foot high and will be ready in a few days. Peppers are Shoulder high and putting out a bucket full every 3 days. Mason is standing by the Running Butter Beans that's on the 6 foot tall net wire fence I put in the Garden and as you can see they are Fine and Thick. Loaded with Beans. I'm standing by my Pride of the Garden, The Tomatoes. Most are close to 8 feet Tall and have anywhere from 15 to 27 Tomatoes on them per bush plus more Blooms. I have 18 bushes of them. Tomatoes started coming in last week but by next week the will be getting Ripe by the Bucket Loads. It's been nice to be off everyday and have the time to work a Fine Garden. It paid off and I have enjoyed it.

BO and ANN PUPS
Bo and Ann pups having some Breakfast this morning. Ann and Sleepy doing a Fine job getting them raised up. Won't be but a couple more weeks and Ole Ann will be done with those girls and begging Sleepy to put her in the Timber. Mason and I going to have a Fun Summer watching the 3 little ones grow up and learn to swim with us in the River and all the things they need to learn while exploring the Bogue Chitto River Bottoms so when they get of age they will be mature and ready to go to work. Blue Lone Survivor being the only pup to survive that litter should be getting used to being Happy by himself time we get him from Mr. Jack. Then put him with his 2 girl cousins worrying him to death will only finish convincing him that ALONE is the only way to be. Ole Blue will be a DEAD LONER is my guess, lol. Haven't been hunting any because of my back but will be getting Injections in each side one week from today and I have FAITH I will be Hunting the next night PAIN FREE. The rain has been off and on for over a week and the River is up and Rolling. One more day of storms and we supposed to dry out for a while. The rain should be good for making the Blackberries really put out and last a while and be setting up the Oak Trees and Vines to be loaded with Acorns and Muscadines. That's great for our Coons. I'm also on the list for getting a pup out of Tramp and Creek from Scott. The cross has been made and got my fingers crossed she took and has enough pups to go around. I'm wanting a female. Yea, I know that gives me 4 young ones all about the same age and in my shape that's 4 to many but like I said, I have FAITH. I have given up the River Logging because it has took it's toll on me. Years ago, after Katrina hit and I sold my last Bluetick, Kryptonite, I really put my Heart, Soul and Body into River Logging and I'm proud of the Memories I made, the Logs I pulled and the Beautiful Lumber I have stacked in my Shop. In my 20's Coon Hunting was my Passion and I was a Very Hard Hunter, 5 times the Hunter I am now since getting back into it. If my Injections work or the Spinal Stimulator, I will put my Heart, Soul and Body back into Coon Hunting. Since I've given up the Logging maybe the Good Lord will Bless me with a few more good years of Hard Hunting. I am starting a Small Cabin out by the Outdoor Kitchen. It will be 2 Bedrooms, one bath and a 20 X 20 Deck with Hot Tub overlooking the River. It will be built with some of the Finest Sinker Cypress I have pulled in my 20 years of living here. When you walk through the door it will be as if looking into my Soul, it will be Me. So when I'm gone I leave behind something that represents who I was when I lived on this earth. The River place will be left to the Grandkids so they always have a place to come to and get away from it all. Can't wait to feel better so I can get started.

BO PUPS
Picture of BO and Stormy's Pups from around the first of November 2015. I had just turned a Coon loose from that live trap working a young hound I had at the time. After the Training Session I went and cut the Little Bo Pups loose and walked them through the woods near the Trap and watched them. As each one caught scent of the Coon scent in the Trap they headed that way. The one thing that Impressed me with Everyone of them was their tails being curled up over their backs the whole time they made their way to the trap and checked it out. I already knew they were Very Bold like Bo was since he was a pup, Scared of Nothing. They had been around my Big Tractor with it running and they just walked around and under it like they couldn't even hear it. NO FEAR. Love to see that in a pup and BO puts the NO FEAR, LOTS OF GRIT, HEART and DESIRE in his Pups. Looking forward to getting my 2 off ANN soon. No Doubt they will display the same type of Boldness and No Fear Attitude that Bo's first litter had. Several pups from that first litter which are now young hounds that have made Coon Hounds can't be bought. Maybe if you had real deep pockets but the owners are very happy with them. Mason, Beverly and I will head to Mr. Jacks in the morning to pick up the Blue Lone Survivor. Puppy Pictures along the River coming soon! Been to long without a pup around here. I burnt out on them for a bit but I'm longing to fool with the Young Guns again. The pup on this side closest to the camera is the one Jr Willis got. I have heard from more folks than him that she is the REAL DEAL. A shore enough Coon Tree'er.

BLUE LONE SURVIVOR
Mason and I made the trip this morning to MISTY RIVER KENNELS to pick up Bogue Chitto Blue Lone Survivor. Mr. Jack was outside playing with Blue waiting on us. BOB X SHEBA did a Great job on this pup because he couldn't be any prettier and has some Big Paws on him. We visited a while then Mr. Jack made the Handoff of Blue to Mason and I will let the Smile tell the Story. You know, there are a lot of Special Moments in a Coon Hunters Life and hunting these hounds of ours. From winning your first cast or training your first pup and hearing it come on the tree for the first time and have the Coon. But there are No Moments that can be better than seeing a young boy or girl hit it off with a pup and the smile on their face. Brings such Joy to an Old Coon Hunters Heart. Can't thank Mr. Jack enough for this Special Pup and the time and money he already has in him and for letting me and Mason bring him Home to the River.

BLUE
Blue has made himself at home here on the River. For 5 weeks old he is as smart as they come. Only once has he did his business in the Kennel and that was the day I got him here. I let him out around 6am each morning and he goes a 100 feet and gets it done. A while later another round then he's all over the yard playing and exploring. Don't bother him a bit to be by himself, that's all he knows. Loves the River already and has been belly deep several times. I bring him in the house while I fix his Purina One Breakfast and he fights with the Flip Flops, Deer Hide and LSU Stuffed Tiger. Looks like he Hates the Tiger so probably going to be a Bama or Buckeye Fan, lol! We have took several rides in the Rhino and he likes it cause now he knows we going somewhere to have fun and eat a piece of Cheese. Looking forward to getting the 2 off Bo and Ann over here. Another week or so and they will be Home too.

Pups and Dreams
Thanks Gary and Dave. Those pups will keep us busy for sure. Missed having the little ones around. I just have to be healthy enough to hunt them. I went to the Dr. and finally got my 2 Back injections. I have to say after being home for a couple of hours now I already can tell I'm in a good bit less pain and my Muscles aren't Spasms as bad. My hopes are UP HIGH that Bo and I will be in the Flooded Swamp soon!
