He will be paid up as a PKC Super Stakes Sire for the 2013-2014 season and the 2014 UKC Performance Program. Jimmy will be at Sherrill's home in Alabama. I met Sherrill in Kentucky this week and dropped off Ch Double AA Whiskey Blue Rose HTX and Sherrill bred her to Jimmy this week. There may be some of those pups for sale in the future if things work out. That should be a super nice cross.

These pups are a little bigger now but look the same. DOB 4-7-13.





You can see Jimmy and Skeeter's pedigree's in the last post. Skeeter has been bred twice before, once to Ring and once before to Jimmy, and produced nice, easy starting pups that aren't afraid of the dark from both males. These two pups are good looking pups with nice mouths but with the birth of this last litter out of the pups half sister and Jimmy, I'm going to go ahead and sell these two. If someone is interested, please call or text me.

Bill, that was first thing I said when I saw that picture. JT said they turned loose right at dark and struck real quick and that coon had to climb quick or get caught. I think Tex is about 16 months old and JT really likes him. Said he is about ready to put him in some hunts. There are so many top reproducing females in Tex's pedigree I figured that cross would click.

In 1951, Dad bought a pup off of Shorty Warren up in Ohio. Dad was 16, working for a few cents an hour, and he paid $50 for that first Bluetick pup. Her name was Callies Blue Smokey Bell and she was out of Smokey River Smoke and Blue Callie of Missouri. Up to that point, Dad had hunted cur dogs and Bell showed him what a hound was capable of. Later he bred Bell to Blue Rock who was out of Sk Newmon Mo. Blue Joe and Blue Lady. This produced Ohio Valley Blue Beauty. Dad then bought Nt Ch Brinkers Blue Shine, who was out of Blevins Blue Ace and Blevins Blue June. Awhile back, Dave Dean had an article in one of the magazines and mentioned Dad coming up to the cabin and visiting him and taking Hammer II and Dad's Blevins bred dog hunting and seeing some good dog work. That dog was Shine. Dad bred Beauty to Shine and that produced Gr Ch Ohio Valley Blue Tick. Tick was the dog that Dad compared every dog to for his entire life. Tick was born the same year as I was, 1965, and was the first dog that I hunted with and shot out my first coon to him. The picture that the artist painted on the headstone is from a black and white picture of Old Tick that Dad had from 1972. I gave the artist a colored picture of another dog that I remembered being the same color as Tick and she painted the picture from it. I thought she did a super good job and am so happy with the way it turned out.

I went hunting with Scott Douglas last night. We took his Max dog who is out of the Clear River Jimmy and Maxy cross me and Dad made. We also took an 8 month old female out of Max. Max treed two coon and made it look easy. I liked what I saw out of him. The pup went with Max every step of the way and has super good mouth and she will be in my kennel tonight. Me and Scott are going again tonight and if I can remember to take the camera out of it's holder, I'll snap some pictures of him. He looked Good on the Wood!

Abbi Seibeneck and Vader, a 15 month old pup out of Ohio Valley Blue Sledge and Gr Nt Ch Clearfork Wild-N-Blue Snap HTX. Abbi said Vader is doing a good job for them in the woods and she likes him a lot.

Mike Shmitt from Logan, Ohio sent me a message that he is really liking the actions of his Ohio Valley Jimmy X Jade pup. I have had good reports on pups out of every litter that Jimmy has sired. I like what I see out of his pups.

There are pups on the ground for sale and some pups on the way out of both Jimmy dogs.

I have a 5 month old male and female for sale out of Ohio Valley Jimmy & our Skeeter. This is a second time cross and I heard and saw good things from the first cross.

Our Ann female had a litter of 11 pups out of Ohio Valley Jimmy and raised them all so far. We are keeping the 3 males and 3 of the females and selling the rest of the females. They will be ready to go in a week or so. Ann is out of Ring, some older blood, and Skeeter. This cross should produce dogs with go, better than average tracking ability, and locating ability.

Ken Zuspan's and RT Stewart's Nt Ch PKC Ch Angel female is due next week with pups out of Ohio Valley Jimmy. Angel is from a good cross herself and they are doing some winning with the 3 females that they have from this cross. I liked what I saw out of Angel when I hunted with her and this cross could produce some real nice hounds.

Sherill just bred his Sue female to Clear River Jimmy. This is a repeat cross and Sherill has heard some really good things from the previous cross'. These pups will be Performance and Super Stake eligible.

My Rose female was artificially bred to Clear River Jimmy a little over a month ago. Still waiting to see if she caught. She is in Alabama and Sherill will be raising and selling the pups if she has any. This cross could produce some outstanding hounds. The areas that I see in Rose that could be improved are all things that Jimmy's pups are typically strong in. Should work if all goes well and we can get some pups.

Ken Zuspan and RT Stewart's Nt Ch PKC Ch Angel female had 6 pups out of Ohio Valley Blue Jimmy last week. She is doing good with them so far. Should see some winners out of that cross.

If plans don't change, I will be travelling to Elizabethtown, Kentucky next Wed, 10-2-13, to meet Sherill with a couple of females he's getting from me to breed to Clear River Jimmy. I will be on I-64 between Huntington, WV and Lexington, Ky and then on the Bluegrass Parkway to E-Town. I'd be willing to meet along those routes if anyone is interested in buying one of the Jimmy pups that I have for sale.

first pkc hunt of the year

I gotta crow a little. Jewel won her first PKC cast she has been in since the new year started. She made me real proud last night. She took some minus the first drop and she still ended up winning the cast with plus points. For an hour hunt it was pretty action packed.

My Pup

I want to know why my dog is locked up in that kennel and all the rest is out running around. He looks sad and wants to come to Bristol. I guess he's to valuable to let run loose. I know your sending me the best one. Little Jimmy you will be home soon and have your new name PR'Dave's Blue Crank It Up Jimmy.

That is awesome. Won't be long before she is PKC Champion. If you could turn one of those 3 second place wins into a first, she'd be Nt Ch by now. I'm so glad that you got her and have done so well with her. I'm gong to get my West Virginia license again this year so I'll be over to hunt with you soon.
