Haze is at stud to good quality females. I believe that Haze can reproduce a World Champion if given the opportunity to breed a tough, hard going female. Haze hunts good, trees good and is accurate. His strength is track speed but overall, a nice dog to enjoy for pleasure or for competition. His pups from several females are showing great promise, they have go power, track speed, loud mouths and an overall good disposition to them.

So, bring that nice female and roll the dice, you won't be sorry you did.

Haze is still a super stakes sire until the end of this month so if your female is in heat, Haze would love to meet her.

Haze did a very nice job on a lay up coon tonight.

Even pigeon his momma did ok tonight too......except for the skunk that she caught on the ground right in front of me......it was comical to say the least.....however the smell wasn't funny....

Our Hope female out of Haze got killed on the road tonight, we had a 2nd place win on her and she was making a real nice dog.

Haze got hit too, but he is doing ok. He is favoring his front leg so he will probably be sore tomorrow. Even after he got hit, he struck a track, ran it and treed it with the meat. I was on the other side of river that he and hope had crossed and couldn't get across, buck drove around and got him off the tree.

Now I don't want to hunt him because of that close call.

checked haze over again this morning and he is going to be fine from the looks of it. not to much of a limp now, just slightly.

Hope was a nice up coming young female that buck and charles owned and wasn't afraid of the dark and would get gone quick and get treed. we will be focusing on a few more youngin's now. we'll see what rises to the top this fall.

update

Haze seems to be back to normal this morning. He stopped limping yesterday afternoon. He was out howling this morning so I know he's fine.

He must not have been hit to hard or I believe we would see more soreness and stiffness so thank the Lord for that. It's hard to tell how it all went down, buck said there were pretty well defined skid marks on the road near where haze was treed, Hope was on the road about 100 yards away. There were no skid marks where she was, so more than likely she got the full impact of the hit and probably another car tried to stop when Haze was in the road and it must have just bumped him a little.

Either way you look at it, buck and charles lost a real nice young female that would have made her mark in time I believe.

we will probably try and make that same cross again later this fall. Missy didn't take last time but we'll see what happens this next go around. If she has a couple of pups we'll consider ourselves lucky and we will keep them all and see what happens with them.

Haze will be collected this weekend, hopefully we'll get a good number a straws.

He is only 4 years old so I don't want to retire him just yet, he is coming into his best years I think. I just want to keep in shape and hunt him a little and maybe run a pup with him every now and then.

Chris, good to see that you got sam. Keep me posted on his progress and if I can help, just let me know.

Finally got Haze collected and got several straws for backup. These straws will be for backup only at this time. If I have the opportunity to have him collected a couple of more times, then some of his straws would be available but for right now, haze is available for live breeding.

Thanks for the interest in Haze, he is looking like he will reproduce very well, but time will tell for sure.

I took my 9 mos old Haze pup along with me to Richmond, In last week and hunted him 4 nites along with a couple of "old dogs". He made some amazing progress this week. (Of course it was raining coons up there) We saw 16 coons at one spot on Thursday night.

I am still pondering on breeding Molly to Haze. She didnt come in heat and I have started hunting her again and try to get her finished to NTCH by the time I do breed her. To the best that I can count those pups would show Hayes Ramblin Red Ace a totol of 19 times, 4 in the 6th generation, 6 in the 7th, 5 in the 8th and 4 in the 9th. They would also show Hennings Chief multiple times as well as Millers Valley Woodpecker multiple times. Thats not even mentioning all the great dogs they would show up close such as Haze, Razor, Raven, Rat, Stinger, Annie, just to name a few. Would be a really loaded pedigree.

Rowdy keeps on rolling along. Made another tree by himself saturday night but I couldnt find a coon. That makes two he has made by himself and I couldnt find a coon in either one, to my defense both have been really big trees, the one saturday was an Oak.

Glad Rowdy is coming along. Those big trees are something with the leaves on......it won't be long until the leaves come off and you'll be able to shoot it out or send him on

Took Haze and Frog out for a quick drop tonight. Sent them up a hollar that always produces a coon.......they hunted it out good according to the garmin and never drew a bark. Decided to send them up toward the mountain and see what would happen. Haze got struck at about 200 yards, Frog joined in with him. Haze came treed followed by frog. I made my way to them and they were in a great spot.......lots of grapes and big trees but of course.......a thick mess too. Frog really treed nicely so I petted them up a little and made my way back to the truck.

Buck was working, but he called me right before Haze struck so I gave him play by play and kept him on the phone as I walked in to the tree. I guess ole buck really had it easy tonight....

I also wanted to say thanks to John Delcamp for keeping me at his place for 3 nights and taking me hunting the weekend before autumn oaks. It sure was nice of him and his wife. Oh yea....he sure fed me good too...
