Did you eat the rodent? A friend got arrested for something years ago and couldn't possess guns. He asked Chuck to shoot him groundhogs because he said they were so good to eat. We kept one and tried it. I wasn't a fan.

A friend gave us tomatoes, peppers and corn from their garden...that's tonight's supper.

I have ate them in the past Ridge,but this one was a big one i figured he would be a tough one..man our weather has been great for mid. Aug. lows in the 50's and highs in the upper 70's.they say it might last another ten days..enjoy your supper Ridge.....

The deer had my sunflowers mowed down before they even got flowers on them so Chuck planted them over plus 4 more plots of them. Last night, we had 6 bucks eating in them, plus a few does. One buck was a nice 10 pt. Only about an 18" spread, but heavy and high. One has a regular Y antler on one side and the other one comes out almost like a unicorn above his eye. The others were pretty scrubby.
The corn was a little hard, but a few days later, we bought some from the Amish and it was delicious!

It's been rainy this week, I dumped an inch and 8 tenths out of the rain Guage.

I still can't ride yet because of my collar bone, but went to the benefit ride for Parkinson's Disease on Saturday. I turned in $905!

We got a picture of a monster buck on a trail camera. His brow time looks like a 4 fingers hand. Seeing some scrubs, too and a couple decent 8 and 10 pts.
We have been seeing one hen with a beard, today there was another flock in and at least 2 maybe 3 were hens with beards.

Howdy all really getting bad about keeping up hope all is well with everyone went to Ohio to a horse pull early Saturday morning got back home mowed grass till dark finished up this morning did some weed eating painted part of my barn roof now I'm tard

we went from 91 degrees to 61 degrees that was a cool off for sure

It cooled off here today, too. I went to Pgh with friends on Tuesday. We wore shorts and t-shirts or tank tops. Went to the Phipp's Conservatory on Tuesday and the zoo on Wednesday. Today, our son came home and we went to the casino. I didn't go out until we left to go. Had on shorts and I was cold walking outside. Good news! We all came home ahead. Chuck and Corey were only $30, but I cashed out while I was up $300. It's nice to bring their $ home for a change.

Dang it's hard trying to read on this dang phone may get it right one day was pretty chilly here going over to my buddy's help him unload a big load of oats haven't been sense Christmas his wife was really in bad health didn't want to chance anybody bringing her the covid he is having a bit of a ruff time she passed away about a month ago

Thanks Rex been a ruff week wife went in to a fib again between that and her copd she can't breathe if she gets up to walk on top of that dad come home yesterday between working 10 hrs a day it's going to be ruff if my brother don't get help.with dad going to stop.my wife's heart and restart it on the 17 of October not crazy about that

i sure hope you get some help HB.that hard to catch you breath i understand very well.hope it gets better for you HB.

Sorry to read about all your bad news, HB. Hope things get better for everyone soon.
Not much happening here. Archery deer season is in. Chuck went tonight, but didn't see anything. We've got pictures of a big buck on our trail cameras, but he only comes through once every week or 2.

Evening everyone was rainy all weekend been pretty chilly here in the mornings days aren't getting up in temperature so far this week got news my uncle that stayed with us sense we were kids has been in a nursing home with cancer is about to pass anytime tonight

sorry to hear about your uncle HB.hope Chuck gets a crack at that buck...
