Well, Stella will be laid up for awhile. She has lymes and also started bleeding today as well. Got her started on doxy today so she should start feeling better in a few days.

I guess ole haze will get to stretch his legs a little over the next few weeks. I'm sure he will enjoy it. I will try to get some pictures.

Hate to hear Stella has Lyme's !
Seems to be a lot of that around our area anymore !
Anne had it last year right when she had pups !
Hope she had a speedy recovery !

Thanks Carlos. Just after 3 and a half days of doxy I can tell a big difference in stella. I'm glad we caught it early.

Update: 5/5/15 Locket looks like she is bred. Hoping for a a good litter. This should be a good cross. South Branch Pete females crossed good on rabble so we should get some good stuff from this.

Locket is a nice little dog herself, she spent time being hunted in Wisconsin at Tom's and down at Aaron Wades in Iowa. She has never been in a hunt simply because I always had something I was pushing but I always liked her and so I kept her around.

Here is a story Tom posted many years ago when he had started her for me.

What a treat...I walked in to find them stretched side-by-side on a big oak and giving it all they had. It was a big, bushy bugger but I caught an eye at least once so I know they had the meat.

Took Stella tonight for the first time since being diagnosed with lymes. She treed one on the outside, wasn't to pretty but she got the job done.

Had a great video sent to me last night of a 11 month old haze pup that had been treed for 40 minutes before they could get to him. He never missed a beat. Nice pup.

Had a good time at national days. Carlos and I went up Thursday. I hunted Frog and she looked good considering she had not hunted a single night since Bellevue. She won her cast with 350+ and had 75-. The minus was totally my fault and not hers. We came back Friday but not after visiting with friends and doing a little shopping. Enjoyed talking with some new folks that I knew on the computer but had never met in person.

Ole Haze is still here and kicking. There will be some more pups finish to nite champ in the next year.

Thanks to folks who have used haze in the past and those who have shown interest.

Thanks Dave W, Dave and Wade. Sorry I haven't been on the board much....me and Allison are in pigeon forge celebrating our 19th anniversary. We will get back home Monday night with a few pups we are picking up on our way home. Dave (from PA), I have the stuff ready to mail but forgot to go by the post office before we left. Will mail it Tuesday when I get in the office.

Dave W, it was good talking to you today and you are right, Allison does treat me way to good.

Wade, I too enjoy our conversations and visiting at redbone days. You've got some super nice dogs that are winning and that's easy to see. All the best with your dogs.

Ole Haze is still kicking and doing good. I will hunt him during the winter and he sure loves getting out and treeing coons. He loves those long red hot chases that the boars can give him in January and February but he can still push them hard enough to make them climb.

I just love that ole dog. He has been a great dog for me and the cartel and a pretty good reproducer in my opinion. I always respected the way roger hall and Tom solberg promoted their dogs...nothing fancy, just put them out there for the public to see. Neither one of those men would blow smoke and make exaggerated claims about them, they wouldn't sit at their computer and keep clicking on their studs thread to make the views go up in number to give a false impression of how many people are looking at the thread, they just let the dogs and offspring do the talking and would do their best to make the best crosses they could without losing the traits they love with their lines. Those two men will always have my respect. I miss Tom and his wisdom everyday as I know many people do. A lot of folks could use his voice of reason now a days.

Congratulations mike and safe travels, lol always gotta include coonhuntin in your travels somehow. Thanks again for the materials, lookin forward to using them. That young dog you hunted with at NRD's, we saw what he needed work on, and put him thru some training on it, and he just picked up his first nitehunt 1st place Saturday night by split treein every time and holdin pressure. Still needs more repetition, but positive signs, hopin he keeps it up. Thanks again

Nice job Dave, congrats on the win. Keep hunting him and you'll see what you want. I put the package in the mail yesterday, you should get it in a day or two.

Hey Jeremy, that particular link was of Bull.....but I found the one of Hazel too. She sounded pretty nice. Hope Bull, Addy and Hazel keep doing well for you. Nice Job.

Jason and I turned loose last night just ahead of some storms....Frog, Stella and Wilma struck pretty quick.....got him lined out and pushed him out of the corn and made him climb. Then the Lord let the rain come.....

We drove around, made a trip to walmart to wait the rain out. Finally after about an hour and a half, cut again......they all got struck again and treed number 2. Cut again........they struck a track that had pretty much gotten washed out, wilma kept trying to work it......Frog and Stella moved on out and went on a journey. Had to drive around to find them. It was a good hunt......even with the rain.
