we have two pups left. 1 male and 1 female out of Dave Marsdens Nt, Ch. Bee female, Slinger has 2 litters on ground. The first litter is 5 months old and I have a male that treed with older dog last night. He is coon crazy. He open on track and treed the whole time.

Leroy have you tested out that new light yet?

I got an invite to hunt some private property over at Redbay and some more land in AL. Couple deer hunters pouring feed out. I hope to put alot of coon down for my young dog. Supposed to be eat up with briars.

Heckler, its all I've heard about is "this light" and "this light does" and he don't even have the light yet! Big Catfish trends to get a little excited about stuff from time to time!

Well I got the light and can't wait to show you how it works. Its so bright a airplane just about landed in my yard. The police showed up and tried to arrest me. I had to prove to them that it was for coon hunting. That exciting. Steve it is bright and I cant wait to hunt with it tonight. Steve when I lived in Flordia that were I did most of my hunting in Red Bay. I did alot hunting off of the canals that the Army Corp. of Engineers dug for the barges If you don't mind the alligators you will be ok. This light would work great for you seeing those beedy red eyes.

Your on a roll with dealing the law enforcement as of late, I may not want to go hunting with you for a while!

Leroy all you need now is a dog. If you got to have a light that bright, you might as well start hunting in the day time. Did they send you a big enough hat or are going to have to duct tape it to your head?

I got a good report on one of my pups. He's almost 3 years old and treed 17 coons in a row. Not bad for a blue dog.

Posted by heckler on 10-07-2011 11:15 PM:

Well how do you like that light Leroy? Did you set the tree on fire trying to find that ghost coon?

Posted by slinger1 on 10-07-2011 11:35 PM:

Steve, this light is out standing. The real reason I bought this light is so you can see what a coon looks like. I know your getting older and I want you to see what a 30 pounder looks like. This light is so bright that when your visiting I will use it to start a fire to warm that flordia blood when you get cold. Thats cool about the pup. Have you hunt with him?

Posted by heckler on 10-08-2011 01:33 AM:

I hunted with him several times. He treed a layup the first time he was hunted at 9 months old. He will drift a track. He 's been putting it on some walkers from what I have been told. I had the whole litter treeing at 9 or 10 weeks old on scent.

Posted by slinger1 on 10-08-2011 01:49 AM:

sounds like you need to get him back. that trait is normal in walker dogs. lol..

Posted by heckler on 10-08-2011 02:05 PM:

He ain't for sale, but I can repeat that cross. I still have the parents.

Leroy and Slinger need some more color in their kennels. Some blue color would be just fine.

Which trait is that? The part about a good blue dog putting it on a few walkers?

Yes we are happy. I hope they act like there daddy that will make me happier the first litter know how to bark at cage coon already. I hope that start early.

Slinger1, have a fun and safe trip! Maybe we can get Slinger qualified again for the WCHA and actually be able to have him hunted in it!
