First nite

Well my computor won't let me get into photo bucket so no pics for awhile first nite back to the woods with Rusty he and the Boomer dog treed about 3 minutes into the hunt not a 100 feet from the dog box nice 15 pounder they got a taste and headed back because like most coonhunters I didn't check the batterys in the hand held oh well good start I've started working pups in the woods the Cane Spring Tigger pup impresses me couple more sessions she'll be ready for the dark .....

Things are going a little rough lately knee kinda acted up but I'm determined to hunt some , dogs have done real well . The pup is growing like a weed going to start letting him wander around the woods shortly

Thought I had a pic of them together the darkness behind the tree is a very large creek the bank slopes off about 10 feet to the water had momma and a kit in the tree and at least one had crossed the creek tree the same tree several times a year they seem to know i won't shoot they hang over the water it's 8-10 feet deep there

Here is a picture and video of Jasper. Been letting him be a puppy and play in the woods for a couple weeks now. Never has had an issue of going off on an adventure. Some good some not so good. Anyway last night found a young coon in a dead tree hanging on. Decided to shake it down and see what happened. the older dogs were running aroung some blowever tree tops so Jasper went up and started treeing on a tree up the hill a little ways. I was a little surprised when sure enough there set the coon. He seen one cage coon and was scared of it early on and I have been working him with a drag. Hoping I can keep him on the right path. The second small picture is a video.

Looks like he is headed in the right direction Mike thanks for the update. By the way if you noticed I was down level with dogs the last two pics was because I tried to squat down under the limbs my knee gave out and I rolled over on my side took the pics from there

Thanks for the update I'm glad he is coming along for ya my hunting has been alittle slow cause of the knee but what I have done has been good . Our deer season with shot gun and rifle comes in sat if the weather holds on the pups will keep going knee seems to be getting better as i go

Im trying to hunt as much as I can this season.I guess sometime after the first of the year Im going to have hip replacement.Not wanting to but its getting to the point I dont have much choice.Be down about 2 months for recovery

Lucky you

The only advice I'll give is make certain your surgeon does them on a regular basis and do all the rehab they tell you to !!!! they tell me hips don't hurt as much as knees , I'm looking at a shoulder surgery before spring I seem to have a tendon that rolled over and some rotator cuff issues

Doug you think thats bad we left your place went to Rushford wife lived there for awhile when she was a kid the house was sold about 40 years ago first thing we saw was they drained the lake wow thats a sight all those docks hangig in mid air then we found that the house was gone tears were flowing
