Will you have him or anything out of him in any of the bigger hunts up north. Real interested in how he's producing and his and pups hunting style. Also any semantic collected on him?

I've heard nothing but good about him and if all I hear is true I believe he'd cross great on these jake females.

Gonna be headed to Michigan next week. It looks like fair weather for the hunt as of now. Gonna see if the old man can do any good. If not then I'm sure we will still have a good time with good folks. The tick disease has really taken its toll on ACE. No matter how he feels though he still loves to get in the country and tree me a few coons.

Well well well

I finally got to see ol Ace go last night and I'll have to say I was quite impressed! The old man went 3 for 3 and even though he's like myself (fat and out of shape) he looked good doing it. He's a ball of fir, I loved seeing how much desire and energy he had still at his age. Great locate and nice tree dog. Thanks for the hunt Mike, bring on bluetick days next weekend!

well no luck in Michigan. Treed in a camper for half the hunt out of hearing the first night, then I WD Saturday night with the storms after he treed a couple. He was never with another dog the two nights there, and he had coons in every tree he made. It was fun to hunt with some new guys and actually saw a few females operate nicely while we were up there as well.

I can assure anyone that doesn't buy into speculation of one mans opinion that Michael is as good as they come and will do you right. I don't know what did or didn't happen on that cast and don't care. I do, however, know Michael's integrity does not need questioning! Ace has nothing left to prove and is in the elite tier of bluetick males today. Turn the other cheek Michael.....

Mr. Shepherd I'm not sure who or where you are getting your information referring to badgering. I'VE NEVER ONE TIME SAID THAT ANYONE DIDN'T BELONG IN A CAST. As a matter of fact I withdrew from the cast around the same time they did. Anyone who was there will tell you the storm was a pretty bad one. His dog trees a slick out of the truck and we were all split with coons. Then Ace left a hole and got minused. Never did I tell them what to do nor act out of the way to them. You can ask anyone else who was on the cast. I'll go out of my way to help young guys getting into the sport. Sorry that you were misinformed. CHRIS HEATER AND SHAWN HIGGINS were the other two on the cast if you were curious. I understand you being upset if you thought they were done wrong but I can assure you no one was mistreated by anything other than the weather.

Mike I have known Michael Herron for a long time and I do NOT believe for a minute that he would have said anything like that. You should give Michael a call and talk to him. If you have a problem I really wish you would have called Michael and talked to him instead of getting on here and making accusations. Remember there are two sides to everything. I also know how young guys can be too. They get excited on a cast a lot of times or at least that has been my experience in the past.

I was handling Ace and was not the judge of the cast. We all got bogged in the swamp and had to go back out to the road as the storm was approaching to get around it to the other 2 dogs that were trees. Once we ALL got to the 2 females trees they were split 25 yrs apart and both had coons. We agreed to call timeout and get our dogs to see what the storm was gonna do. Before leaving to go get Ace we made sure they had the tri k marked and left the judge at the road in case they needed help as she was only 300 yds from the rd. Again no insults were made nor cross words with anyone. I knew I was beat either way and I assumed they knew the same, and that was the reason for withdrawing. When i got back from retrieving Ace who was the opposite direction 7 tenths of a mile, they were just coming out of the woods with their dog. It was raining hard as I've seen. We offered them a ride to their truck and they said they'd rather walk. I assumed they were disgusted with their dogs performance and the storm. When they arrived at the truck we both withdrew. I'm not sure where they could have taken anything as unsportsmanlike or insulting. If their feelings were hurt is be glad to speak with them and sort this all out as I'd hate for them to have aa bad taste in their mouths for the hints for any reason. I'll be the first to tell you if there was trouble on a cast, but this was one cast I thought went very smoothly, with no problems. Sorry they didn't feel the same way.

For those not familiar with juicy she is a grnitech littermate to bocephus and Mr. Blue. The pottential in this litter is uncommonly high in my opinion.

Johnny that's cheap for pups with parents that have done the winning that RAIN and ace have both done. I was thinking u were gonna be in the 600 range. Guys if u want a pup out of a nice female, RAIN is a winner.... she's bred good too. Don't think you could go wrong with one of these

The weather here has been terribly hot, but I got to get out last night with a Millie x Ace pup a friend owns. He and a 9 month old tuff x juicy pup treed their first wild coon with no help. It sure made it worth it hearing them come on the tree like they'd done it dozens of times before. It sure is nice when pups start to really put it all together.

Ace has been bred to a couple top females this past month, and I spoke with Bob Mouzy from Making Music Kennels last night. He says hes going to bring his Bocephus female, Eva as soon as she comes in. Thanks Matt Brumfield and Jason Bingham for giving ACE a chance
