Hunted last night "Monday" 20/30 mph wind, light snow, 30 degrees. treed 2 boars out in open with 2 dens seen 2 in a tree that looked no bigger than a pair of socks. Sunday night treed 1 on outside of den and 1 den .

This warm weather has them stirring, for sure. I like the wind this time of year, you see more on the outside, and shorter races. I hit up my woods that I tend to tree more dens when it is super windy with greater success.

Everything was stirring last night, treed a few coon, a few dens and a few dirty dens. Saw 3 possum on the way to the woods and almost turned around and went back home LOL Heading out of the woods back to the truck came across a skunk. Seems a week early for them. The Temps went from 48 to 38 and stiff wind blowing and fog in about an hour. Which dont add up cause normally there is no fog when it's windy? But good hunt non the less.

Noticed the skunks also, saw 2 yesterday morning going to work and about ran 1 over last night. We are going to lay the dogs up a couple weeks and let them recuperate from the season (my knees and ankles could use a break also.

Mark, how much ice did you get last night? Not bad here I hope it melts off today, much worse in the yard and stone than the parking lots. Skunk on ice smells a little different took me a minute to figure out what i was smelling at 4 am this morning. I did see a coon in my yard last night before the freezing rain started and had 17 deer out there as well. If I was smart I would put my dog up too for a few weeks.

We hunted last night treed 4 coon 2 dens and 1 slick by the timecwe got back to the truck I had to scrape the windows to get the ice off and put it in 4 wheel drive on the way home.
