Pecans in the Cemetary.
Subject: FUNNY - pecans in the cemetery
PECANS IN THE CEMETERY
On the outskirts of a small town, there was a big old pecan tree just inside the cemetery fence. One day, two boys filled up a bucketful of nuts and sat down by the tree, out of sight, and began dividing the nuts.
'One for you, one for me, one for you, one for me,' said one boy. Several dropped and rolled down toward the fence.
Another boy came
riding along the road on his bicycle. As he passed, he thought he heard voices from inside the cemetery, so he slowed down to investigate. Sure enough, he heard, 'One for you, one for me, one for you, one for me...'
He just knew what it was. He jumped back on his bike and rode off. Just around the bend he met an
old man with a cane, hobbling along.
'Come here quick,' said the boy, 'you won't believe what I heard! Satan and the Lord are down at the cemetery dividing up the souls!'
The man said, 'Beat it kid, can't you see it's hard for me to walk.’ When the boy insisted though, the man hobbled slowly to the cemetery.
Standing by the fence they heard, 'One for you, one for me. One for you, one for me.'
The old man whispered, 'Boy, you've been tellin' me the
truth. Let's see if we can see the Lord!
Shaking with fear, they peered through the fence, yet were still unable to see anything. The old man and the boy gripped the wrought iron bars of the fence tighter and tighter as they tried to get a glimpse of the Lord.
At last they heard, 'One for you, one for me. That's
all. Now let's go get those nuts by the fence and we'll be done...'
They say the old man had the lead for a good half-mile before the kid on the bike passed him.
have a good day, Jeff
Good one Jeff, just got through reading it to my wife ,,lol

lol that's a good 1 mr jeff
Now Jeff-ro that's funny right there. Gonna farm again tomorrow, spring is gettin' closer.
my buddy takin about lime his meadow if it ever drys up this spring it's fairly steep so gotta be half way dry think he messed up last yr we built a tank and put liquid nitrogen on it after 1st cutting we bale the 2nd cutting for the horses and they won't eat it told him i think maybe the nitrogen had something to do with it can't really say that to be a fact had a hard time getting it dry i think that nitrogen had alot to do with it
All of this snow is putting more nitrogen into the ground too.

i will be glad when all this dang snow is gone gone lol
HB does that hay have any white mold in it? If it does that makes it bitter. If he used liquid nitrogen that was most likely 28%,it ain't that bad. On the good note crank them clocks up 1 hr Saturday,WINTER IS LOSIN" IT'S HOLD
Hay
Hillbilly might have it tested to much nitrogen also will make it bitter and will kill a cow. Don't know about horses. Like Tony says white mold they won't eat and if made to eat cows will od on it if eat to much. Have to be careful on silage with nitrogen in corn also.
Hope this helps. Jeff
Just picked up Bloodlines March magazine.
Great job to John Bishop and Sonic and Mark Vandeventer and Dizzy those are tremendous accomplishments. Large numbers of dogs from all over the best in the country. That is awesome. Congrats to all winners.
Well my beginning of swim and field trailing training season just started yesterday for Mister Money Maker better know as Moo Moo. Gonna have to talk to Ed Casper or his wife on naming dogs one day.
Plans are as such if my health and wallet hold up make him a grand water champ, show champ, field trial champ and nite champ. That is a big list and should have started on it when he was younger. He is only 5. That is my fault. Time to start traveling more.
In my travels that I did take him water racing he comes treeing from waters edge all the way to tree. Love a squaw mouth tree dog. I think he is the best tree dog swimming at least in illinois. Not bragging cause they will make a liar out of you..LOL
I remember 1 year I had the best Jr Field trial tree dog in the nation took him first race in the spring and they ran 1 1/2 miles track though 3/4 mile plowed ground. He won line and tree, next day flipped his stomach and died 2 days later after surgery $5,000 gone in a flash.. From straining himself on that hard track. Never count your chickens before the egg is hatched. I learned that lesson twice with dogs and after reading what I wrote I better humble myself from past memory and there are alot of really good dogs out there and being a water champion now we have tasted defeat once. tastes like crow..LOL
Jeff
i think he didn't let it dry long enough i told him to let it go another day but he's 1 them guys that thinks he's right all the time we salt every layer when we put it in the barn the bale i throw down outa the loft the other day was on the dusty side i told him that's why horses won't eat it i didn't really look but id say it is on the moldy side i wouldn't feed it to my cows id just burn it all i told him i wouldn't put no nittrogen on the feild this yr but who knows what he gonna do
I agree Hillbilly
If it is dusty that is white mold, they are not going to want to eat it very well. Sounds like my dad the not listening and no patience part anymore.....
dad Roll's hay to death it will only dry so fast, no use knocking off all the leaves. Have to have patience with hay. can't rush it.
We are way down on cows anymore only have 15 cows used to have 50 cows dad is 75 now. He is to busy with Pacer horse anymore. She has won about $70,000 lifetime first horse he had. If he had knew what he was doing she would have won many times more. Probably be his last horse to...
Take care, Jeff
your right you can't put it up if it's not dry but with all that rain last yr people rushed it and now they don't have good hay my boy worked on a farm that had around 200 head of angus cows for about 10 yrs i haven't had any cows sense the 70s and don't want any lol i try and keep a couple horses around me and my youngest boy like the pulling contest but everytime we get a good pair going he ends up puting a price on them and somebody buys them we down to 2 ponies right now he's wanting to go to ohio and buy a pair of middle weight ponies im still thinkin on that 1 with my health im just about done myself may go watch that's about it
I understand hillbilly.
Health is something most people overlook. I thought I was headed for kidney dialisis but was able to change my diet enough to avoid it so far. Doctor keeps mentioning disability but I am not ready for that yet, when it comes time I will know. I just keep rolling best i can much like you. I am back to being able to hunt safely, just wish my boys would competion hunt but neither like it. Here to much of the bad stuff about it now they both like swim racing and coon hunting. We plan to travel more this year so we will see. Best of luck to you on those pulling horses and take care yourself.
Respectfully, Jeff
Jeff , just how low can a persons sugar drop before going into a coma ?
