Calling him Nitro. Hope the name ends up fitting. I was close to naming him Walker though! Have you been out at all? Jason and I need to mosey down your way sometime for a dump or two.

Didn't make it to the Roundup, last minute decision not to go. Went to Warsaw friday nite and Farmington saturday nite. Hunted both nites and came to the conclusion that Shaker was paying me back for a little reminder I gave him a week ago. Wasn't pretty, he needs some fur.

Sorry guys haven't looked at this post in a while.

Tully when football is over we need to pick a night and meet up. Been trying to make it out once or twice a week. Hard though when you got games twice a week and now with bowhunting.

Fester
Glad you like your pup. Hope your right and she's a winner. Keep me posted I'd appreciate it.

Steve
You got those booners tied up for me yet. They must have swam the river from Ill because we don't have deer like that in Ia. I passed on 2 really nice tens last weekend that would go low to mid 140's. Holding out a little longer.

Fester, what female is your pup out of?

Corey, I believe I know where they're coming thru but I was hoping they get the corn out to the west of me before november. This rain isn't helping any.

Are you going to Shell Rock Saturday?

Good lookin pups, BTW.

Fester, happy that you had seen the light (switched over from those High-legged Beagles you and Larry Davis use to hunt!)

I'm not going to make it. We have practice from 2-4 which means I won't get out of there till 5. This rain isn't helping anything get done. We played our last JV game last night in this crap. Man was that a wet, cold miserable night.

That sure is a nice looking female. The picture of her on the tree looks a lot like dutch from that side with the saddle bag coming over the shoulder.

Jay, My last Ntch walker passed away this summer at the age of 14. When I decided to switch to blue dogs,I talked to several people (some walker guys) that pointed me in the direction of Tonys Rattler and Coreys Dutch dogs. I'm pretty excited about these young blue dogs and feel like a kid in a candy store.
Although it's been about 20 years since I last hunted with Larry,he is IMO one of the finest people I ever hunted with.

Posted by Ricochet17 on 10-23-2009 11:14 PM:

He (Larry) is still running around the woods with his Blue dogs.

Hate to say it. Davis was right!

I handled Pete for Stuffy tonight at Shellrock, and had Ty Morgan handle Sky. He has spectated 4 or 5 hunts, and won his cast with her. Got 3rd. Davis was right... She just needed a handler! His first hunt handling a dog, pretty sure he's hooked on the comp hunts now. He is taking over for me in the hunts LOL!

Posted by CBkennels on 10-25-2009 10:06 AM:

Tully

Never did i think you would say that Davis was right. LOL even if he was, and to think you wanted to leave him chained to the fence at AO. Congrads on the win. There is a Mini Slam at Highland Center the 6th. Hope you get her finished.

Thanks, now on to chasing that 1st. Gonna let Ty keep handling her as much as he wants. He has a better set of ears than I do. Good practice for him. My sister was the one that wanted him left chained to the fence out there! She never has known how to pick them!

YAH she does. By grabbin their nevermind. No it awsome that there's another young guy gettin into the hunts. I hope he"s hooked.

Yeah I must be able to snap a flea off a dogs back with that kind of aim. There is no denying the snoring. It says a lot when the people across the road in the camper were gone before I woke up!

Deisel is a daddy again. Speck had 8 live ones and one that didnt make it. I dont know if she can handle that many, but hopefully some will make it. Sarge and that Pounder pup just got their competition for next summer, LOl

How has it been going? Too bad you already have your concrete done. We got the stuff to do decorative concrete and it looks like it would fit the landscape at your place AWESOME! It is some of the coolest looking stuff I have seen. When do you want to go for a hunt? I have left all my good pastured oak timbers alone all summer.
