Frog Dawg

There is no denying that Frog is a beautiful dog. Can't say that there's anything I'd change. And then she's got that sweet voice! Sounds a good bit like her father Haze, though a pitch higher.

I really, really enjoyed listening to that video Pastor Mike posted of Haze and Frog bringing that track up from the creek bottom, practically running over his toes, through the herd of cows and up that ridge. That haunting yodeling locate bawl from Haze at the tree was to-die-for.

I'm a grumpy old man now, but I couldn't find anything to complain about in any of that. About perfect, I'd say.

I'm sure enjoying this Haze grandpup. He only needs a first to finish to nite ch. Bull is one of 3 pups in his litter. Frog raised 4 but one was killed on the road at 10 months old. Bull has a couple of 2nds, a 3rd and a 10th place. Of His 2 siblings, one has a 1st and a 2nd and the other has a 1st and a 3rd. So of 3 pups that lived, all three are winning in the hunts. That's a pretty good percentage. This litter is out of Harry and Frog.

I think ole Bull kind of looks like his momma.

One of Bull's littermates finished to nite ch last week. No hunts close to me this weekend so bull will have to wait til next week for another hunt.

Congrats to Emmett Dalton on finishing cash to nite ch.

NTCH CH Soggy Bottom The Bull Dawg

Bull finished to Nite Champion last night. It was a fun hunt. Bull is out of Harry and Frog Dawg. I've enjoyed this young dog. Bull makes the 2nd NTCH out of this cross. Only 3 pups lived, all males. The 3rd male has a 1st and a 3rd and only needs a third or better to make nite champ as well.

Frog and Harry seems to be a good mix.

Had a good time at national days. Enjoyed hunting with wade, Bernie and Jason (I think that is the right name) on Thursday night. Enjoyed my cast on Friday night too with Hailey and Dustin.

It was great to catch up with friends. Rob and Katina, I'm glad you guys were there Friday, it's been to long since we have hung out.

Congrats to all the winners and to the cartel.

Frog Dawg is due in about 10 days, this is my first litter in over 2 years.

Pastor Mike wishing you the best of luck with Frog's pups. If I was down that way or she was up this way being retired I could help you with them. The first 3 or 4 days are the days the pups need help sometimes. Good Luck.

I put an ad on the classified section for the cross if anyone is interested in seeing the pedigree for the pups.

Hope everyone is giving their dogs plenty of fresh cold water during this heatwave. Vents in the doghouses help too. As far as hunting.....I'm gonna wait til it cools off a little.

Autumn Oaks

Had a great time at autumn oaks this year. It's been a long time since I've hunted a dog there that wasn't a grand nite. Hunted bull in the nite champ class and had a good hunt with good guys. Bull won his cast but did not have enough score to place.

It was good seeing my friend Dave Woofter and having breakfast with him on Friday morning.

The weekend always goes by to fast. Congrats to all the winners and to Boone, Jared and Richard
