Chase

Chase is looking and acting good. Waiting to get off light Duty and the weather to change so we can work with him. He has a good Hound mouth and is very smart. Got his Papers back last week. Have a great year Pastor Mike.

Hey Dave, glad chase is doing well. Carl will have his pup in about an hour and a half. So I just have my female from the cross. I sure like her. Hope you and Fran are doing well and staying warm. This should be an interesting year for Allison and I. I resigned my position at the church back in November but I will work through the end of January. Gonna take a month or two break and get some stuff done here at the house then I will be looking for work. So we will see what happens this spring. Take care.

She very well might like it. 😀 She's a nice pup. I'm looking forward to getting her started. She was barking at a possum yesterday that was scavenging around at 4pm. Wish it would have been a coon. I probably would have turned her out.

Carl it was a pleasure meeting you. You have a nice looking bunch of dogs and they were well taken care of. I think that pup will make a nice one for you! Mike I need something to put in the hunts so you just let me know if you ever want to part with her. She acts right and she’s a nice looking hound. I really like her!

This is Chase back in Oct. On the only coon he has seen. He got right after it. The weather is bad and I am a little under the weather yet so Chase is just hanging out. Fran has taught him a lot. He will load and do pretty much what she tells him but the hunt training will be on me. Hope I can work with him soon. He has a nice mouth.

Maybe I will be able to get up to visit my Friend Tom and Hunt with Dave and my gang of young Friends. We hope to have Chase going good by then so I can show him to my young friend he's named after. Chase Patzner.

That would be great Dave. Hope it works out for you. I’m sure that Chase and the gang would love to see ttop red chase go for a spin.

Here is bull and Jason’s young male bolt last night. They were treed for 2.5 hours before we made it to them. Last night was the longest walk I’ve had to do in a while, especially straight up to the top of the mountain. From the truck they were 1.34 miles. It was a long night. Oh yeah, they had the meat.

Bull

Bull went 2 for 2 tonight. It was a cold night on national forest. After the first coon, he hunted for 2 hours and never found a track. He finally came across one but went off National and ended up on private near a house in a subdivision. But he had the coon but due to the house I left the gun in the truck. Here is a decent pic from tonight.

Chase

My Squirrel dogs has Chase treeing on squirrel from his kennel. He has a loud hard chop and sounds just like his sire Jim in the video on Jim's site. I set a couple traps yesterday and I think Chase is about ready to start. Has a real nice fast hound chop. I really think he sounds just like Jim. Good Day. Dave

That's great Dave. Dottie is ready to start too. Should be an interesting February. Not the best time to start a pup. I'm going to begin with a little daytime training first then she'll get to go with bull a few times.

That's why I set the traps for day time training. Fran took Chase 17 miles to the farm over the week end for a walk. He loads good. Looking forward to working with him. He's the Only young dog I have now. Gemma Lou is only 2 but she's a pretty good dog already.
