Hey Dave,
Glad to read you got your power back on. Been there, done that. I have a generator in the garage for just that reason. Hope your mom is doing well.
Looks like I might be able to fire the dogs up tonight. Mid 60's tonight. Dogs were having a hard time in the heat. Hose them down in the morning and at night. Ice jugs in the water for them. You know its hot when theres not a peep out of them.
JJ looks really good. Got some weight on her and she is all slicked up. We'll see how she does tonight in these dusty conditions.
Hey Dave. Is it as bad when the dust bowl was going on?
Scott

Dave.....glad you got your power back. It's been rough around here too for many people. We didn't have power for 2 days so we were fortunate and grateful for my friends generator.
Here are a few moose and frog pups.

Thanks
Thanks to all for your prayers. Most had their power out between 5 and 9 days. 98 % is back on now but there is still some out. Scott it was pretty bad here in central and Southern Ohio. Made a mess of some of the woods. I had it good compared to some. One guy got his foot cut off and they couldn't put it back on from a power pole falling on his Van. All in all my family came out in good shape. Thanks again for all the concern and Prayers. Dave P.S. I sure missed seeing my friend Richard at redbone days. His pup is starting to triple bark like some of the T-Top dogs. I may just keep it now. LOL!
Dave, I looked all over for you but you were no where to be found. I was so sad and it was my even my birthday. But since you have such a good excuse, I guess that I will be able to forgive you. If Woofy lives up to her potential, I guess that it won't be too hard. I can't find your phone # so give me a call at 423-605-3757 when you get a chance.
Talk
I enjoyed the talk last night Richard and the Temp. was 62 this morning. Feels so good. I will see what Woofy will do on a coon here if it stays like this. Have a good day. Tom Cherry is just looking at Ace and he is rolling his eyes at her but so far she is just a tease.LOL! Dave

Dave, how does Woofy take to water? Do you think that she will get seasick?
Doubt If She will get sick
I am an old Navy Man myself so she should be good. I have wanted to work her a little but it is still 100 here everyday. It may rain to night and cool things down. I want to show her a coon.
WOOFY
PR'Lambert's Triple Chop Red Hot Woofy ( Ace/Mattie )
Here you are Richard. This is the first time Woofy saw a coon. It was a little hot on me and the pups but they lite the tree up. We never got one drop of rain and it rained all around us. Woofy was the last pup left after everyone picked but she is growing in to a nice young female I think. Dave
Now that is what I have been waiting to see!
I figured that was her that called me yesterday evening and left a message on my answering machine. I guess that am going to have to start taking on a few odd jobs and saving my money up for gas to get up there.
Woofy...
She looks pretty good Dave...seems like we've seen that tree style before...eh?
We didn't get any rain out of that big system that went through here last night either. It rained hard and stomed real good all around us and covered some really dry areas with at least some rain but...we didn't get any...it split like the Red Sea and just moved around us.
Oh well, I suppose it will rain when the Good Lord intends it to happen so nothing we can do about it except wait it out.
It has been very hot in this part of the country to go with no rain. It's supposed to get hot again over the next week so about the only good thing about it is that it's another week closer to fall and winter again.
The dogs are holding up pretty good and the pups are growing and turning into a mob of trouble makers so I guess we'll make it.

Lose Her
Boy with all the plans you have Richard I hope I don't lose her. I Hope she grows up to be a good coon dog and acted like her Half brother Gun. Dave

Pups
Yes sir! She looks like she'll make something of herself and I sure like the looks of how she gets on the wood. It all has to start with them showing some interest...it's a process...not an event...
I've got a little something in the works again and I'm sure liking what I'm seeing...lots of attitude and standing out from the rest is always a good first indicator of what's to come. I'll be having some fun in the not so distant future and I'm looking forward to it for sure.
Gun and Yank and Dagger are all living the good life...resting up for a good workout if the weather around here ever changes. Summer heat is like below zero in the winter...good for nothing but something we have to live through to get to the good stuff...eh?
I'm hoping that Cherry cooperates pretty soon so we can get another batch of pups from Ace and her...Gun is going to be special and I think a lot of fun for a long time to come.
Richard...by the time these pups are about ready for the woods is about when the woods will be fit to get out into...fall is coming...not soon enough...but it's coming.

More pups
Rebel / Raven pups
Hey Tom
Well the ole man did it again 7 more little Rebels. Who knows there might be a little Timber Tight Rebel Rouser in this bunch, thought that would be a fitting name for him.
Tim
Rebel Rouser...
That's a nice touch Tim...got kind of a ring to it.
Good looking bunch of pups.

Saw a 15 month old Leinie grandson today. He's super nice looking hound. I didn't have a camera or I would have snapped a pik. The guy said he's got booming mouth. The owner goes by Lars on here.

Richard
Mr. Wilson the litter brother to Windy sure sounded good up on the wood. We will see how this all work's out this kill season. If Pastor Mike and I can get to Tom's this October might push Mr. Wilson to the top.

Buck, don't you be messing with Tom right now. He has a lot on his mind. And by October, Mr Wilson will have a huge Mountain to climb if he wants to get above Wendy. She has already been to Wisconsin once. There is no telling where she will have been by October.
Tom do you know who these 2 are ?

Guesss who...
No way we can mistake that pair of nice hounds...that white eye and that red collar gives it away...
Moose and Willow looking good...on the wood...
It's good to see them doing their thing...warms an old heart for sure.
I'm hoping this miserable hot weather and dry conditions breaks pretty soon and we can start sliding into a few days bringing on fall...I'm ready for cooler weather, the turning of leaves, frosty mornings and the leaves falling...ahhhh...I can almost smell the frost in the air...
Get those hound dogs in shape, it won't be long and they'll be working hard for their grub...eh?

Weekend
It was a nice weekend for a couple of dogs that have some T-Top blood up close.
Tim Gilchrist and Griz and BB and Autumn made some noise this weekend and I'm happy for both of them. Griz got a Nt. Ch. win and BB got a second place finish at Plott days with his nice young female.
Congratulations to Tim and BB and anyone else out there winning with a Red dog.
There is a change in the air this morning...maybe the first sign of things to come over the next couple of months...we were down in the mid 50s this morning after an almost all day rain yesterday. We needed it bad to help with this terrible dry and heat spell we have been dealing with. This morning the breeze is cool and the air fresh and clear. By tomorrow morning, we could see upper 40s and it will feel like heaven to this old boy...
I've got a few little surprises hanging around here these days...I'll hopefully be able to get them to stand still long enough to get a few pictures today.
Might try to get in the woods by next weekend if the weather stays cool overnight...I hope the dogs remember what a coon is...eh?
