Yep...
Yes sir...that's all good stuff!
A trip to Wisconsin...? That will make a dog out of him I think. You put him out in coon country with the prof and only good can come from it...eh?
Tim...that's all good...you gotta take care of those youngsters...the ones with 4 legs and with 2 also. Nothing like a young pup with a world full of potential...there's only a short window of time when we can enjoy that feeling so help that youngster make the most of it.

Tom-Sue is a coondog, no fast game. She looks identical to Leine. I'd love to see those two under the same tree..oh well. Still planning to breed her now next April. (Just went out). Moose might the way to go. what do ya think?
buddy
Tom the male Andy is talking about is the first male I got from you. Gave him to Andy because is one great guy with one nice T top female.

Opening weekend...
We had a good opening weekend with great weather and beautiful, star filled nights to make it as good as it gets...
Yank and Gun...
Yank...
Gun...
Opening night harvest...two of these coons were 28 pounds, one was 26 and the others 18-20. It was a nice bunch of coons.
We had a real good night last night also with 5 for the freezer and 7 treed overall. It was a rough start because had to crawl to the top of the bluff and then all the way down the other side to where they were treed but...that's hunting in this part of Wisconsin.

Training day
These pups are coming along and are done with this stage of starting. They fired up good without an older dog to show them the ropes...
These pups are ready for the next step and I'd guess that by winter, they'll about be ready to tag along. They will be 5 months on Oct 21 so a good start and what I'm used to seeing...good stuff.

Real Nice
Nice pictures and looks like some good work. Dave
Cherry
We're looking forward to getting Cherry home here and then we'll be looking forward to a nice litter in a few weeks. She and Ace did good the first time you crossed them so we'll hope that she produces another bunch of pups like the first.
I have some days off this next week and I'm looking forward to some extended hunting time with the guys. Right now, the weather is looking great with highs in the 40s and lows in the mid to upper 20s to around 30 all through next week. We expect a little rain again this week so conditions should be good.
The breeze is blowing through the timber above the house this morning and I can hear the leaves rattling down from the oaks...it's a sound that puts the soul at peace and is the tide of another change in our season...I love this time of year and nothing better than to share it with good friends.

Look
Look at that proud look on my Buddy's face. I wish I could catch a big coon like that. I am jealous. Nice coon and a great friend. Good luck next week with Dave and Tom. Dave
Hunting
It sounds like it should shape up to be a good time. We'll have a pretty good crew so no coon will be safe within close driving distance...and maybe even far driving distance...depends on how it goes...eh?
It's going to be cold overnight those first few nights, 20-25, but from mid week on, it looks like near 30 overnight so not so bad at all.
Dave took Gun alone last night and got a couple nice coons treed with him. He's starting to demonstrate what we're looking for more and more so next spring, we'll hope to get enough time to get him in some hunts and see how it goes. I like that dog...

GUN
Tom here is Gun when he was a pup trying to figure out where that frog went too. He was a pretty pup and turned in to a Beautiful young hound I believe. Dave
