One of my pups is being trained as a "Turkey Hound"

I have a pic from Wyo. if I can find it of a Pack Rats Nest in an old linemans shack.. It is so packed full of everything that you could only look in the doorway..

Had a Badger once that grabed ahold of one of our hounds collars and would'nt let go !! "It was a heck of a ruckus"!! .
Had to shoot him off with the .44 while holding the hounds ear closed.. I'am sure that was a site to behold !!

i know people here in Wv that have turkey hounds they use them to do something it was in an outdoor magzine a while back bhut ive heard that they use them to spook the turkeys theres a guy in WV that does it

I have heard of coon dogs treeing on turkey trees when they were young ,,, Not sure if they got broke off or not . Had a redbone offered to me because of this problem . Running coon and this redbone would tree on the turkey tree

i was watchin them do that on American Gun Dog one time he used a hound slash somin else and when they spooked up the turkey they put the dog in a bag close it up and the dog stays still in the bag when they shoot a turkey they let the dog out and it goes and gets it
