Bill hunted walkers for years and then went full bore for the Plott breed and did a good job promoting them. He was a good man.

I sure hate to hear that bad news, although I knew he was in real bad shape. Bill was a good man and he helped me out a lot. He was a wealth of information and he had a remarkable ability to remember dogs and their lineage several generations back.

I'm sure Bill knew the end was near. Wednesday he asked his son to bring one of his dogs to his bedside so he could pet it. He said the dog layed his head on Bill's chest as if he knew things were bad.

Bill was strict with his dogs, but you could tell he loved them, too.

Here is a picture I took of Bill and his late Simba dog. I had it framed and when I gave it to him, he had a tear in his eye.

Rest in Peace, my friend...

I am sorry to hear this. We visited Bill and Bred to Cowboy this april. Bill was so gracious and made the trip worth every second. Great man who really loved his plotts. Rest in Peace Bill!

I moved this over here to the general Plott Forum so more people could see it.

Bill was a great man and Plott promoter who will be missed. It was always great to see him and get a chance to visit at Plott Days.

Last week I had receivd a call from Bill's number. I had not been on the net in a while so I did not know he passed. I spoke to Bill in January and he said to stop by on my way out to St. Louis, MO. I always enjoyed talking to Bill and had planned to see him in Mar. It was wierd scenario that somehow someone from his house had called my number. I called a day later and it was his son that answered and he told me the news. I sure will miss Bill he was always good to me. Rest in peace my old friend!

Turns out I had email correspondence with him in 2011. Found out he passed recently. I had been considering getting a pup from him but guess not. He was really informative about his bloodlines. Did his son take over?

Craig Grawe took it over. He lived real close to Bill and hunted with him a lot. I don't have his number but he's in the yearbook I'm sure.
