X Bred ?
Can I single register a hound as X bred even if parents aren't known. Looks like a Black and tan though the rumor is he is out of a Bluetick female and sire is a coonhound but does not fit any breed color. So parents are really unknown.
If I can what would his percentage be to a breed or what breed prefix would be behind his number?

Yes...X-Bred can be from unknown parentage. They still have to be approved as meeting coonhound breed type. In other words, not half cur or half bloodhound, etc.
The only dogs in an X-Bred pedigree that have a breed abbreviation indicated are those that are UKC registered. So in your example there would not be any. X-Bred dogs do not have a breed suffix. Only their purebred ancestors. Make sense?
