Coonhunting holding strong

I dont undertsnad what all fuss is about. I have sevaral clubs with in 2 hours that have decent entry number on consistant bases. Sure there are a couple that have low numbers but its lack effort on clubs part. I went to two club hunts (not ukc hunts) this month so far one had 11 dogs entered other had 12. And only 3 people including myself was at same club. And clubs are hour apart. But when these clubs have UKC hunts drawing 10 or 12 dogs on low end only half those entries will be same as club hunts. Always 3 or 4 young boys age 10-14 there having good time. Very rarely not meal last club hunt had more chillie, pie and cobbler than we could eat. I believe 11 dogs hunted and prob 40 people including wives, kids and old times there visiting and eating. Our club hunts have several older men come hunt. And all hunts are revolving door. Never same crowd. Last box hunt had almost 30 dogs. So with all that said coonhunting and coon clubs are alive and well in south central Missouri.

Nathan

Glad you guys are having good hunts, it just shows that clubs that work at it can and do have good hunts. Dave
