Our club has all our hunts doubleheaders. Last Saturday the deadlines were 9 and 12. The deadline for returning scorecards for 1st round was 1 AM. Most everyone signed up for the second round before they left the club for the first round. A couple of hunters dogs got out of pocket and did not make it back to club by deadline. Because they signed up for for the second round they were drawn to a cast. My question is how long does the cast have to wait for them to get back to club?⁷

By rule, there is not specific set time. That would be your decison as the event official. However, I'd suggest to wait to draw casts until you have everyone you're going to put in the draw.
