We have two,Roger has two,I think Mark has one or two and I saw were some Red dogs in Utah Qualified.I heard Bobby Baker can't afford it so he wasn't going to go.Other than that I'm not sure.

Its twelve hours now and if we went to Illinois it would be about twenty six hours.The first year we went to zones there was now Western zone and we went to Greencastle,Indiana that was around 30 hours of driving.

p.s. I was told that you can get a wknd hnting license for 40. bucks for out of state that is for small game,but if you carry no gun that it would be ok but should ask local dfg for his interpurtation? on the safe side. Pst Or.,Mt. or Ut. Ennie,meanie,minee,moe..lol.. de de de

Nikki he did make it.Mike looked good Friday but on a split at the end Russ had the coon and mikes was circled.Then Mike got wrote up for fighting Saturday.Abby came into heat.I know Tiny I haven't decided yet.I did reserve a room in Laurel but Rock maybe in Wisconsin by then so we'll see.

Looks like Ben and I are going to have to bring our Plotts back out to Laurel to give them Redbones some competition. LOL. Tell Mark congrats and hope you do well.

Ben qualified our Hide dog for the AKC World Hunt and we just got comfirmation today that we will be hunting Monday night in Greensburg, IN.

Training season opened yesterday and Ben got his Coal dog killed by a bear. They found Coal dead this afternoon next to a creek. The bear had got him in the head.

This photo was taken by a friend of mine earlier in the day of the bear that got Coal.

Tracy, tell Ben I said congratulations and also that I'm very sorry for his loss on the Coal dog. Bring the Plotts up anytime, anything but Walkers. I never did get to see those Plotts of yours go. Someday I'll see one that I like. I've been kicking around the idea of trying a Plott. That's the only breed that I haven't tried yet. I haven't seen any yet that made me want to try one. I heard the dog you hunted up here was a nice dog though. Good to hear from you, take care - Kevin

I'll give Ben your message.

When you decide to give a Plott a try just let me know. You've got to be careful. I know what you and Mark expect in your dogs and the conditions you hunt. The major difference in some Plott strains, as I see it, is "locating ability". Get the right strain and you'll be happy. Get the wrong strain and you will be mighty disappointed.
