"god's Ways, Are Not Our Ways"

I must admit that I don't always understand the ways of God! On Sunday 02/24/2013 at the age of "94" we put mom's body in it's final resting place! I'm thrilled to know that she is finally experiencing the very thing she lived her life for. We hadn't had all 5 of our children home at the same time in over 4 yrs. It was ironic that we sent our mother home to be with the Lord, and all our children came home to us if only for a brief time!
Some might not understand it, but we had a great time at the funeral service as we celebrated her life and shared so many great memories! We were overwhelmed to see the impact she had on so many lives! She is the reason we now have so many pastor's, and pastor's wives in our family! She never preached at you, but lived her faith in front of you everyday!
Thank you MOM for the legacy and wonderful gift of SALVATION you left with us thru JESUS CHRIST! We will be excited to see you again as we all come home!
YOUR LOVING BABY BOY!... JOHN W. DELCAMP

GOOD TO KNOW WHERE SHE'S GONE

John
Your mom sounds a lot like my mom was, she went to see JESUS a little over 6 years ago, like your mom my mom planted the seeds and watered, culavated, and tryed to keep the weeds out and let us grow in our faith that she showed to us- her love for Jesus and never pressured us but led by example. I know I miss my mom, but can never wish her back as she is in a much better place with our Lord and your mom.

Wink

Thanks for the kind words! She always had a great sense of humor! Her siblings said they had never heard her say a harsh word to anyone! I know that if I couldn't get her mad enough to say anything hurtful to me in my life, she had to be special! My old pastor laughed & said she had to be sweet cause when he baptized me he wanted to hold me down till the bubbles stopped! LOL! He then laughed.... so I hope he was kidding!!

John my friend

Jesus died to unite people and I can state that He united you and me in friendship.

It's really heartwarming to hear that your mother was the kind spirit that bound your all's family together with her faith in Jesus and live the faith she proclaimed.

Funerals are for the living and are celebration moments for those of the faith when loved ones simply "fall asleep" and are quickened into the realm where Jesus is.......when all children siblings grandchildren and all members alive can sing praises of the saint whom entered everlasting life.....you know Jesus is glorified!!!

May God bless you and Christine and you children and grandchildren.

John, sounds like a great gal that made a great run at life and lived a full one. I bet she is looking down smiling at the legacy she left and the lives she touched. Always keep the good memories and the love in your heart. Heaven is a glorious place and I know from the way you described her that she will be waiting there for you when roll is called. Hopefully it'll be a while before that happens. You still have to make it out to watch these old biscut easters chase some long tails. My thoughts are with you my friend.

John; it is always sad to lose a loved one, especially a special person as a mother who has nurtured and guided us in our lives. It was joyful to hear you all had a celebration of her life as your mother sounded like a great example for all of us. We all should be thankful for the circle of life to reach our place in heaven.
