any suggestion

have a dog that strikes ,runs,but wont stay treed on bear. but will tree bear when taking coonhunting at night

Get to the tree as quick as u can and tie the dog back. Let the dog see the bear coming down the tree a few times that should help.

have you made it to the tree in time to see if the bear is there or is the hound leaving before you get to tree ? have you ran bear with other hounds and does he stay treed with them ? if you have ran him with other hounds and he`s leaving, maybe there`s a hound pushing him off tree. it`s a hard question to answer without all the facts. i hope he comes around for you.
