it was bound to happen.
hunted with buddy mike tonight. what ended up being last run bella, trix, jam, and koko caught coon in nasty hole. coon was taken care of and trix and jam came right out. can see bella and koko in hole but they are just laying in there. not hung up or anything just look gassed out and wont move. have had dogs in holes hundreds of times and always come right out when toned or called. hole is behind nasty beaver dam so horrible dangerous if not impossible in the dark to dig in further then did.
left coat and going back in couple hours and if nothing wait till daylight for plan B, even though not sure what plan B is. know both dogs so well and they always listen well cant figure out why wont move.
was supposed to be on road little after daylight for couple hundred mile round trip for farm supplies but unless get lucky that aint happening and way it looks sleep isnt either. even before gps never been one to leave a lost dog even if missed work or sleep and this deal extra disgusting when can see dogs. if they dont come out by daylight im gonna have some serious shovel time in a nasty little place. hunts been way to easy lately knew would be disaster sooner or later.
