im gonna put my 6 month old pup in some hunts in two weeks

I don't personally, but a lot of people do. Too much risk for me as you never know who your going to draw. You get that good six month old pup chewed up on a tree and he may never get over it. He has his whole life ahead of him and I prefer one to be more seasoned and ready for the hunts before I enter them.

X2 I agree with Freddy seems like pups are starting earlier and earlier but give that good prospect some time before you put them up against older seasoned dogs that mite be ruff or have bad habits. Let em develop get confident and become solid at what they do, good luck!
