Just wondering

I hunt alone but always wondered ,When ur training or pleasure huntin After u get to tree how long do u let ur dog tree till u recast? Does it depend on how long they r treed before u get there

If I have a weak treedog it does wonders to stay awhile and tie them up and let them tree 15 or 20 minutes. If it’s a good treedog I let them tree a few minutes and we’re off. I never pet them at the tree but when leaving will stop a few seconds and love’m up.
