Potential Powerhouse Cross
Dual Grand Ch. Ragged Ridge Ripsaw x Gr.Nt.Ch. Ragged Ridge Toadie
Let me start out by saying I have hunted with both Rip and Toadie many times and both are top 5% dogs in the redbone breed. This is a line bred cross with both parents being out of the same sire, Dual Grand Ch. Ragged Ridge CD.
Both parents are proven producers of early starting dogs with a lot of mouth , drive , and independence. I had Rip up her for a couple months this spring to get him collected and got to hunt him quite a bit. I even entered him in an RQE after a couple weeks of hunting and he easily dominated that cast and got qualified for the ukc world hunt. Rip got his 5 Nt.ch. wins to make grand in about 7 hunts over a two month period and it doesn't get much better than that. Earlier this month Rip was handled by 9 yr old Austin Bowling to two cast wins in the akc youth world championship and won the Jr division and was crowned overall reserve world champion. Last year at the age of 8, Austin handled Toadie to double cast wins at the 2013 akc youth world championship to win the overall world champion title.....and this was only a week after a triple cast win weekend at 2013 national redbone days where Toadie was crowned Overall High Scoring Op Sex winner.
Both of these dogs are proven winners and both possess the defining traits of Ragged Ridge CD...Drive, Independence, and accuracy.
Rip is out of CD and the number one current reproducing redbone female Dual Grand Ch Pepper Ann.
I know good dogs when I hunt with them and these two are up near the top % of this breed. Rip, even at seven years of age is one of the best built, finest looking redbone I have ever seen. He looks like a muscled up well put together true grand show champion dog. He is also a very well balanced dog who is quick on the strike and quick to locate the tree. He has a loud mouth, great locate and is a steady chop mouth tree dog.
I like Rip so much that we have decided he will be the first dog that Gr.Nt.Ch. Outlaw Cherry Bomb will be bred to this winter.
Toadie is not quite as quick on the strike, but opens just about right....but she is a sneaky, dangerous, independent, fast, accurate tree dog. She has beat me in more casts than I care to remember. She loves to get deep and lonely and will have that Ricky when she trees.....as most who have drawn her can attest.
I done often get on here recommending a cross as strongly as I am about to....but iI believe this cross has the potential to produce some hard going independent competition hunt winners. And, because it is a line bred cross, iI believe those traits will be locked into these pups making them good reproducing in the future. I get a lot of people contacting me for competition bred pups and I rarely have many available. Keith tells me there are still 4-5 males available from this cross and i believe they will be ready to go soon.
The price is a very fair $300 and they are performanced and s.s so don't miss out on this opportunity to own some of the best competition blood available today out of two significant winners with a great set of tools.
Keith Bowling can be reached at 812-525-1223
Give him a call, you wont be sorry.....shane
