question

I wonder what it would take to get a old time pleasure hunt going again where folks just get together and visit and hang out. To be honest that's one of the things that brought me to this Breed along with nice dogs! Setting around and just visiting is priceless and I know there are folks who would still like to do it. Maybe we could do it at a separate place or even during Leopard days just a thought. So chime in and shoot me some ideals!

Meeks Hunt

When we host the Meeks Hunt in Abbeville South Carolina, we also have a group that goes out on a pleasure hunt. There is competition for those who want to participate, but two years ago more people went out pleasure hunting than went on the competition hunt. It's a great time!

Our club hosted several Leopard World hunts. We always hunted more dogs Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights than we did when the competition hunting started (Friday). Biggest we ever hosted had folks from 14 states and Canada. Think we had like 400 people show during the weekend. A lot were folks interested in the leopards.

John,
I vote you in as hunt chairman. Why don't you set something up?? To take it a step further move it to a different location every year or two?

Thanks,
Perry
