Full Cry Magazine
Has a book of hunting stories collected over the years. I am sure some of you have purchased it. So what do you think? Is it a book you would recommend as far as hunting stories?
Anyone have other book titles with hunting stories? I like to read short stories.
Randi Bidlack
“Trained by a hound dog” by Ed Vance. It’s mostly about mountain lion and bear hunting out west, but it is a great read. It’s a collection of his favorite hunting stories as a guide in the 1960’s. I can’t recommend it enough. Ed personally signs every copy and mails them himself.
Steve Fielder’s “Gone to the Dogs” is a great read. Steve sure knows how to portray a story with words. He also personalizes each book purchased.
I’ve been hooked on Bob Plott’s book about the history of the Plott breed as of late. “Strike and Stay”. Highly recommended, though my opinion is highly biased, haha.
