What could possibly go wrong with drilling the earth's crust full of holes? Where is the environmental outrage and protests?

If you read until the very end you will see that this project is funded by the Government through Biden's Dept of Energy. You might also note that they expect to drill through "pockets of gas" that they plan to release into the atmosphere.

But you won't see anywhere how much that it will cost. I wonder if they have a blank check.
