Man! Sam, you guys sure have some small trees out there in WV. Them dogs must help them up a little Nice bears!

Here are some from our season...
Just a few of my favorites...

Nice bear treed by our Redtick male by himself, one of two trees this particular day... One of our split races. (the other dogs treed thier bear too that day)

This was one BIG bear, that we wished we'd have tagged but didn't. He ran some ways, the treed not les than 5 feet off a road. I took this picture standing on the road Biut we had a split race this day. Ended up treeing 4 bear this day. Our reacord for trees in one day this season.

First bear we treed on opening weekend. Beautiful sow. We left her to run. One of the pretties bears I've seen.

This was a nice boar. the frst bear I ever tagged. Had a split race, and this big guy was treed by my 17 month old Walker male Crash, after only being on 7 bear races, this made his 8th bear, in his first season. Was also the first he'd seen dead.

This was the second day of opening weekend, and the second bear we treed this day. The roughest walk of my LIFE. We started in and he was bayed, broke right as we got close then treed (thankfully) Just a big ol rotten bear, our redtick got a little roughed up, and if looks could kill, he wasn't too happy in that tree! Huge too, one of the biggest I've seen. Had to have been 8ft. Long, tall, and heavy built. Never treed him again. Another one we wish we would hav tagged...

Got a few more I might post later.

dogs struck from truck --we thought it was raining hard then -- let dogs go and it rained harder- knew bear had to be right there- was very short race and treed -- well then it rained so hard that it was hard to breathe-thunderin and lightning -we took cover in truck-- lol if u cracked window a 1/4 inch was like somebody was sprayin a hose in the cab--we sat in truck a good half hour till it let up enuff so u could at least breathe-- --anyways --my buddy had also struck on next road over and did just about exactly the same thing --same time-- i said its raining so hard its pushing bear out---just like nitecrawlers lol

sometimes bear are awful scruffy here in july-- this old girl had two big cubs (maybe yearlings ) and was slick as a mink in july

Here are a few that we collected over the past year.

This was a damage control tom taken 2 years ago. He was making it a habit of snacking on goats. He was found to have hookworms.

Brisco treed on this cat

The first cat that Brisco caught by himself, just before his 2nd birthday.

First bobcat that the pups seen.

A couple of nice bobcats after a good day of hunting

The dogs treed.

This little chocolate colored sow was one heck of an acrobat and kept them dogs fired up! She was bayed solid three times and treed three times, but broke and ran every time I tried to slip in on her.

That booger was on the fight, and when my Shakes dog jumped in the middle of her, she bit the hell out of him. Luckily the other dogs balled up on her and got her off of him before she could do any serious damage.

I killed this boar the other day, and I put these pups on the box with it to see how they would react. They are 9 weeks old now, and from the last litter from my Shakes dog and my Brandy dog. They didn't hestitate to start pulling on it's ears and nose, and when they got tired of that the brindle pup curled up next to it's head and took a snooze. I got a good chuckle out of that. :-]

Mike,
Those are some really nice looking pups. Mine are already treeing the neighbors cats... The funny thing is my wife is letting the out of the yard to tree one particular cat...never thought she would just do this.

some people might say these arent big game animals but i do, i know its not no bear or lion but its the best i got lol.

now my dog wasnt really in on this kill, just found it after my buddy wounded it, his walkers jumped 6 out of a small bush, well she found him and he was dead, but she got a good wiff, she ran like a charm after that, no kills for her tho, but she got in on some good bays in the big swamp after that, everytime they would bay i would try and sneak closer and they would be bayin and fightin, but when i got near the yote would break, she did good, she kept the race goin even after they lost him on fresh deer track, she picked it back up again and it made me happy anyways. hope to get her out more this year.
