2023 Feist World Hunt Final Cast Play By Play

It's go time folks! I'll try to bring you the action as reported from the woods. The cast left the club grounds at 7:15 am. They have about 20 minutes to get to their running spot. Get ready.

LOCATION: PERRY CO CHC TELL CITY, INDIANA

WEATHER CONDITIONS: Currently 39 degrees. Clear skies and sunny. High around 70 today.

The cast should be arriving any minute, I'd think. It's been a great World Hunt in Tell City. The club and their guides have been topnotch. The handlers have all been topnotch as well with no complaints and no questions coming back. Speaks well for the judges and all involved.

So.... we had a little issue with service on my end but we've now got that resolved, we think.

So here we go...

The cast was seeing squirrels on the way to their spot. Good sign.

Cast turned loose at apprx 7:45.

* Merle first on the card! Tree him for 100!

*Pigg treed split for 100!

* Pigg was merely a few trees over from Merle. Plus both dogs! Both had a squirrel. Both dogs are recast.

*Pigg making noise again. So is Merle. We'll see what happens here.

Pigg treed for 100!

Tree Merle for 50, with Pigg.

Plus 'em up! Pigg and Merle with another sq.

Jammer wants in on the action. He's now making some noise.

Pigg treed again. 100! Some 400 yards away from the cast.

Plus up Jammer, he's got the sq! 100+.

Cast has arrived, handled dogs and searching the tree.

Got him! Plus up Pigg and Merle! They are both recast. Apprx 60 minutes remaining in this action packed start of the hunt.

Uh oh..... time running on Jammer. He hushed.

Just a little nerve check for Peoples. Jammer is treeing again. Lift the clock time.

We are now all caught up to live action. Updates may come a litttle slower now. Seems like we have any previous connections issues resolved. Get a refill on your coffee. Should have a report on Merle and Jammers' pending trees shortly.
