Is there any one breeding and hunting leps on biggame? More specifically bear? Always liked the way they looked and always hear about how much brains they have. Thank you for any info.

Glade creek, Little mountain, and Lizard ridge lines are making some dogs. I've also heard of folks using meeks bred dogs on bear. I had a male from Bill Boesters stock that was a coon treeing machine and I put him on some bear when he was about 3 and he would get the job done. Good and bad in all though.

The different lines vary by nose, speed, locating ability etc...same as any other hound. Most are on the fast side but the bonus is that it's pretty easy to find a smart one.

Thank you for the info. You can find pretty much any breed you are looking for here except leopards. Even the guys who hunt hogs here dont have any that I know about.
rwood, where are you located? I'm in Virginia and have hunted Leopards for 22 years. My kennel name is Lizard Ridge Leopard Curs that originally came Rex Bowers Dutchman Creek Strain. If you are not too far away you are more than welcome to come go to the woods with these Leopards and see for yourself. I can be reached at (540) 586-8242. Wayne Hensley.
Heed the advice in this forum
I have used many on hogs and have a stud dog out of L.D Myers' Scout dog turning out fast gritty pups
