What Redbones out there have Dawns Timber Jack the closest in their ped? What ones have him the most in their pedigree?

I heard there was some To the Maxx semen, and he is directly out of Timber Jack.. not sure if they would even price it though..

My very first redbone was a pup out of Timber Jack and Outlaw Jessie.
Her name was Gr.Nt.Ch.Gr.Ch. Outlaw Timber Girl. A littermate brother to her was Dual Grand Ch. Outlaw Red Moon. They were born 25 years ago but there is still semen stored on Moon. John Biggert owns a Dual Grand direct son of Moon called Nighty Night Little Red Moon who is out of that Moon semen and Dual Grand Ch. Pepper Ann. Adam Frary just bred his Gr.Nt.Ch. Maggie female to little Red Moon and had a litter.
There is also the Gr.Nt.Ch. To The Maxx dog who has semen in storage. He was out of Timber Jack and a grand nite female direct off of Brunswick Little Man. In 1992 two pups off Timber Jack dominated the redbone hunts. Between Timber Girl and Maxx......They won all three redbone days with Timber Girl winning American and U.S. and was high op sex to Maxx at National Redbone days when he won overall. She was also high redbone at a.o., UKC world, PKC breed leader, Indiana state leader and Purina points breed leader. Timber Jack shows up in a lot of pedigrees today going back through either Maxx or Timber Girl and her brother Moon.

**** that is some good stuff right there! I owned Page until about 1 1/2 years of age, and her mom (Brandy) and dad (Timber Jack). Those were my kind of coondogs. I also owned a littermate to Page I called Rage. Some of the best nights I ever had in the woods were with those 4 dogs. RC was bred right!

Chad Porter has a nice female that is double bred out of Hardup Josey Wales. Josey was a grandson of TJ (Through the Outlaw Jesse cross). He is getting ready to breed her to Johnny Biggert's Dual Grand Nighty Nite Little Red Moon dog. Off the top of my head you would get TJ 3 times(Little Moon is a son of Dual Grand Moonlight Pepper Ann. I can't speak as to weather pepper dogs have any in there or not. But TJ's dad was Tousaint Red Talker who belonged to Dwayne Brough. Nighty Nite Moonlight Kate was a grand daughter of his Fast Pitch dog who probably has a lot of Talker in there..) The other dogs that would be heavy in there would be Amos's Burning Ben and Outlaw Jesse.

Little Moon is a direct son of Outlaw Timber Moon right? That would make him a grandson of TJ. So glad to see people keeping this blood going. When we were breeding dogs we focused on a few staples of the program and Lumpkins Timber Chopper Jr. was one of them. Toussaint Red Talker was a son of Timber Chopper Jr. and had at least 2 other littermates that were outstanding coondogs. Gr. Nt. Ch. Timber Talking Tim was one. These were get going treeing machines.

Timber Scanning Radar, Campbells Timber Chip, and Coffmans Joe were the other Timber Chopper sons we kept going back to. Line breeding like female and males in this line of dogs usually worked out well for us. The cross between TJ and Jessie brought all 4 of these Timber Chopper sons together. So did the cross between my Squaw Mountain Goldie female and TJ. Goldie was a daughter of Smokey Mountain Brandy and a female owned by Alton Cooper that went back to TC jr. Brandy was a grandson of Coffmans Joe and great grandson of Timber Scanning Radar. Great stuff!

My Bussrow Bottom Brandy II female was a grandaughter of Toussaint Red Talker being directly out of Indiana Speaker. On Speaker's mother's side she was a great grandaughter of Haye's Ramblin Red Ace. Page was out of Brandy x TJ cross and Maxx out out of Katie x TJ cross which eventually led to Red Cedar. Not sure if there is any more semen from RC but that would be a good one to keep going. I raised both Page and Maxx and they had similar hunting styles. RC's mom is Page and his dad Pete was out of Maxx. Get sum of that stuff!

We crossed this female to my Dirty Joe Dog

Joe is a grandson to Page this cross produced 4 pups

2 were never hunted the only female out of this cross is the female that Fred Moran won last year friday nite high score female at national days I think they call her Maw Barker.

Joe is loaded with this blood.

I am pretty sure their is still some semen on red cedar

That's a different Page dog, not the one listed above out of Timber Jack and Brandy.

Looks like your dog goes back to TJ through Pete and Maxx. Good stuff!

My favorite dog to hunt that I owned was TJ. I just enjoyed listening to his big mouth on track and his big locate and hard loud chop treeing style. I can't say he was any better than Brandy II as a competition dog though. I hunted them together for 3-4 years and they both got their shares of trees. He was a better strike dog and she was a better layup dog. TJ was a fast deep hunter and the older he got the deeper he went. When he was 7-8 years old I would turn him loose on the farm with a pup and go eat some dinner with the tracking receiver on the table. They had to run about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile to the edge of the woods. When the tree switch went off I would drive out to get them on the tree. I rarely ever went to a tree where he didn't have the coon.

Brandy was a more thorough hunter and was a louder tree dog and treed harder on average. She could really rattle them off and I got a lot of complements on what a hard tree dog she was. Brandy could find coon that had been in the tree for a long time that other dogs literally couldn't smell. I saw her work up a layup one night against 3 Purina Point Walker dogs that she completely shut out on track and tree right in front of us.

That Annabelle dog I owned was about as good of a competition dog as I owned when she was at her peak , but she was harder to handle. She beat TJ in a qualifying hunt when she was 5 and he was 3. That was the first time I hunted with TJ and Bill Wallock. She was a really fast hunter with a quick locate and when she was clicking I'd put her up against any dog. She didn't have the big mouths that Brandy and TJ had and she wasn't the tree dog these two were, but she was fast like many Woodpecker dogs were and very smart. I was in college when she hit her peak and she wasn't hunted in many hunts because of that. She had 3 wins toward Gr.NtCh. and came close to winning Redbone Days in 86 by winning against tough competition including the Purina Coonhound of the Year that year, Davis Nite Heat.

Another dog I hunted with twice that I really liked was Smokey Mountain Brandy owned by my friend Alger Morgan. Big mouth , hard hunting , track driving , smart, big locate , loud , stay put tree dog. I liked big built male dogs and he was 75-85 pounds. He won a load of hunts in his prime and beat me one night at Autumn Oaks.

I'd say the above dogs were capable of winning any hunt against any dog. They all made it to the finals of a World Hunt and placed high except my Annabelle female who was never entered in one.

I had a male out of TJ x Gr Nt Ch Gr Ch Billy Jo(littermate to Keys Outlaw Jessie) that was built like TJ and was a deep hunter when he was at his peak. He was a fun dog to hunt with and had that big Timber Chopper bawl on track and loud locate and hard chop on tree. He weighed about 80-85# in the winter. Great looking dog. I called him Timber Jack Jr., but I got out of competition hunting when he was a year old. He could have made Gr Nt Ch easily and its a shame he didn't.

Another dog I owned until he was a little over a year old was Gr.Nt.Ch. Too the Maxx, who was out of TJ and Gr.NtCh Jenkins Crying Katie. He may have been small but he was big in the woods with a great mouth and was a fast split tree artist. He and my Shock dog were the most natural coondogs I've ever trained. Max was running and treeing with his daddy TJ at 3 months of age. Butch Roeder told me he was one of the most natural young dogs he ever hunted with.

Shock was driving tracks and treeing his own coon at 5 months of age. He was all business and was naturally straight his entire life. He was a littermate to Nt.Ch. Craft's Outlaw Jack and a full brother to Gr.Nt.Ch. Keys Outlaw Moon, and Gr.Nt.Ch. Outlaw Timber Girl. He went to a buddy of mine at 2 years of age after I moved to Idaho. He was only put in a few hunts including Redbone Days where he won his cast the first two nights and was up for overall winner going into the final night. He was definitely GrNtCh. worthy as well. Crafts Outlaw Jack died with 4 wins to Gr. Nt.Ch. so there was a cross (TJ x Jessie) that really should have had 4 Gr.Nt.Ch. in it.

Brandy II produced some good ones and was only bred twice. From the two litters she produced 1 Gr. Nt. Ch. and 2 Nt. Ch. and 2 Redbone Days Winners.

I really like this cross and it has produced a some good ones. Goes back to TJ twice. That Pepper Ann dog was a good reproducer. This cross will be seen for years! I hope Cloud gets bred to some good females.
