HERES SOMETHIN THAT WAS WRITTEN BY AN OLD MINISTER ,READ IT AND ENJOY SEE IF YOU REMEMBER ANY OF IT,,,,,,,, THE OLD PATHS,,,,I LIKED THE OLD PATHS,WHEN MOMS WERE AT HOME.DADS WERE AT WORK.BROTHERS WENT INTO THE ARMY. AND SISTERS GOT MARRIED BEFORE THEY HAD CHILDREN! CRIME DID NOT PAY;HARD WORK DID;AND PEOPLE KNEW THE DIFFERENCE.MOMS COULD COOK;DADS WOULD WORK;CHILDREN WOULD BEHAVE..HUSBANDS WERE LOVING;WIVES WERE SUPPORTIVE; AND CHILDREN WERE POLITE.WOMEN WORE THE JEWLERY; AND MEN WORE THE PANTS.WOMEN LOOKED LIKE LADIES;MEN LOOKED LIKE GENTELMAN AND CHILDREN LOOKED DECENT.PEOPLE LOVED THE TRUTH AND HATED A LIE.THEY CAME TO CHURCH TO GET IN ,NOT TO GET OUT!HYMNS WERE GODLY;SERMONS WERE HELPFUL; REJOICING SOUNDED NORMAL AND CRYING SOUNDED SINCERE.CURSING WAS WICKED;DRUGS WERE FOR ILLINESS;AND DIVORCE WAS UNTHINKABLE. THE AMERICAN FLAG WAS HONERED;AMERICA WAS BEAUTIFUL; AND GOD WAS WELCOME! WE READ THE BIBLE IN PUBLIC;PRAYED IN SCHOOL;AND PREACHED FROM HOUSE TO HOUSE.TO BE CALLED AN AMERIAN WAS WORTH DYING FOR; TO BE CALLED AN AMERICAN WAS WORTH LIVING FOR; TO BE CALLED A TRAITOR WAS A SHAME! I RIVERBOTTOM RON LIKE THE OLD PATHS BEST !!! HAVE A BLESSED ONE FROM THE RIVERBOTTOM,,,RON

Men are to blame , we want a handshake to mean something but when it don't ... guys cry about it instead of teaching someone different.

Men want a good woman , but when they get hooked up with one that aint .. they are too scared to boot her out and cry about how she don't cook or stay home.

Kids backtalk , because men are afraid to put them in line because of their wives or dhs.

I still live in the good old days ... on my hill , kids behave or get whipped and anyone who don't like it will get one too ... fact !

I aint afraid to spend beer money on bail or sleep in county for a night or two ... never killed me before , it won't know ... and I can look in the mirror with my held high even if I'm broke .

The old days are still here , but you gotta be willing to be as tough as the men were back then ... you can't be hard unless you live hard ... that is where this crap all started .... men got soft.

Good post Ron reading that brings back childhood memories. We where poor but never knew it when we where kids. If kids of today had an imagination like we had growing up it would blow there minds. Thank you Ron for sharing that with us I really enjoyed reading it.
