But if you are in the World Hunt of ANY registry and you are not the first place winner---you are not the World Champion.

Just because you participated and where the only hound of your breed and finished 40th, doesn't make you a World Champion--that is for only the first place hound.

Am I the only one that thinks like this??

If it was your dog that was the high scoring dog of it's breed, then you would probably have a different outlook.

CHAMPION is only for the one that finishes FIRST in my eyes.

Last year there was ONE Super Bowl Champion, ONE Nascar Champion, ONE World Series Champion and ONE National College Football Champion.

BUT in the hound world, you have 6 World Champions???

With so many kc's now it seems like you are getting a new world champion every 3 months it don't seem as special as it once did to me and so many win it then you hear nothing else about them it's just different to me now.

The UKC world champion holds the most clout in my opinion and I don't want that to change .

I ain't even ever got close but although I would be proud I made the final cast only 1rst place would be the champ to me I think I placed 537th once lol.

No you're not alone. I actually find it offensive reading stud ads and pedigrees that say world champion bluetick, redbone,black n tan. Ii think it happens more in the bluetick than the other breeds but it's not right. There can be only 1 world champion a year. These guys that are doing this now days should put high scoring of breed.

Maybe your reading comprehension skill are not what they used to be. What I actually said was the Minnesota Vikings were Division Champions.

There is a "Redbone" World Champion.

There is an "Overall" World Champion.

As you can see, there is a difference. And at the World Championship Finals, everyone gets a trophy or plaque. Of course, they don't all say the same thing. You have to read each word in a sentence or title. You can't skip over one or two and jump to a conclusion.
