Is there anyone that actually still has a decent strain of plotts anyone?

Lol. I don’t know where you’re from but man, there’s good plotts from Florida to Maine. I admit it’s hard to get your hands on them. But what kind of question is this. Come on. Lol.

Well the question is were would you get a good plott not one from someone who is just a breeder not a hunter? I have bought plotts all over the us and not one is worth the feed nor the drive to get it. Would like to find someone who hunts the hounds they sell not sell hounds they think they will hunt

Curtis walker West Virginia plotts mike Cauley bayou cajun plotts Eugene walker Pocahontas plotts Ben and Tracy Jones Houston valley plotts. These are a few breeders that hunt, catch a lot of game and have consistent dogs and sell some to the public and I believe Curtis walkers dogs and Houston valley plotts go back to gene whites dogs. These people don’t post dogs for sale too often so you probably have to contact them and ask but some have websites and others have social media you can contact them with.

I had some heavy white hollow bred plotts at one point. They were solid dogs, but got to the point I could not reproduce their likeness. The ones I had were quick track dogs with plenty of grit and caught a lot of bear. Best of luck finding some.
