Pup treed before he trailed
I have a young dog 12 months haven’t had him long guy acted like he hadn’t been messed with much prior, anyway have had him out a few times hasn’t really done anything until last night he ran in and backed another dog split a few trees over both had coons, dog has never opened his mouth in the woods until last night and treed hard, my point is of all the young dogs I’ve started over the years they’ve always, always started running track some first and the treeing comes later, obviously it’s probably to soon or not enough info but is this normal for any of you. Of course I was happy he was doing somthing but on the other hand I kept thinking wood monster later on

Over the last few years I have started several that treed first, some too much. Was rare in the 60's and 70's. Was always looking for one that would tree. Lots more tree in these dogs today. Now I look for one that can track.
