Barked voice out

Ok here’s the story i meet up with a guy this weekend to buy a dog and when he pulled it out of the box I probably should have just called the cops and reported him right then and there it was the poorest looking 1 year old I have ever seen and stunk to high heaven and was completely barked out I payed under half the price for the dog just to rescue it when I got him home he literally drank an entire pitcher of water and then some anyways iv got some weight back on him wormed and all that good stuff still gonna take a little time got him washed up to where he smells tolerable I’m 4 days in with 5 mls of mustard down his throat and his voice has got better but still very poor is there any hope for it coming back and does anybody know anything else I could try thanks and sorry for the long post

Well first thank you for still buying therefore rescuing this dog. It probably barked itself out trying to get someone to feed and water it! Just complete vocal rest will go along ways but prednisone and rimadyl is what you treat it with.

Prednisone For Dogs
The best luck I've had is PREDNISONE. 5MG TABLET
10 days 1 tablet each day.
5 days 1/2 tablet each day.
5 days 1/4 tablet each day.
Always do the complete treatment, even if their voice improves before you finish the 20 day treatment.
You usually can get it from a vet. It is a steroid, not very expensive.
I have had good luck with it.
