I have my old ntch female that I would consider letting go to the right kid.

She is 11. (I will have to confirm age on her papers). I dont need her and I have had her so long that i feel obligated to take care of her. I am not looking for her to go to someone that is looking for a good coon dog and run the risk of her getting flipped around in her last year or years. She does not get coon hunted and with our younger dogs, she never will.

What i would like to find is a kid that wants to squirrel hunt but cant afford to buy a good one! i want someone to get her that will take better care of her than me, because they appreciate being able to get a dog of their own! (if that makes sense)

I am not going to list her pedigree, because it is irrelevant to this conversation, but i will say it is an impressive one at that. If I was not the one trying to move her and saw it, i would probably reach out even after reading the below info and knowing that I was not the right person for the below description.

She was a good female in her day on coon and a great reproducer for us. What happened to her was that she was the dog my son started hunting around the house before he was old enough to start coon hunting by himself. So, for a few years he would squirrel hunt her most every afternoon. This probably ruined her as a coon hound but i did not care. My son had a blast with her! She turned into a total terror on squirrels and was as good as any I have seen go. Again, she does not get squirrel hunted more than once or twice a year anymore. I dont know if she will even tree one now, but i do know that he took her once last year and she treed 12-14 in about 1 hour!

She is old, and I fully expect her to have to be walk hunted but she is still in great shape and healthy. She may not last much longer but she may last a few more years.
