walker sectionals.

i heard at a walker sectional last night that you don't have to qualify to hunt the lee crawford hunt at walker days. i was wondering if that was true. also we aren't getting any books cause of their publisher dieing? i don't remember getting a book last year either. can anyone shed some light on this esp the hunt part. thank you

Was wondering????

Ok I’ve been wondering why we haven’t got a yearbook this year. Wish someone would send out emails.

The Lee Crawford Hunt at Treeing Walker Days has changed to the Pro Slam Format that UKC is now offering.

Treeing Walker Days now holds an RQE event on Thursday night that allows all comers to participate, plus the Pup Hunt, etc.

Because the Lee Crawford is now a UKC Pro Slam, there is no “qualifying” aspect to the Treeing Walker Sectionals that take place throughout the country.

The Lee Crawford is now the Rqe which is open to anyone, the Slams are on Friday and Saturday not Thursday Night. Imo the rqe was a great move as the non sanctioned all walker hunt wasn't drawing very many dogs. I don't see any problem with having a Lee Crawford Rqe which is open to anyone. The walker sectionals didn't draw very many dogs in Indiana the last couple years but I do remember back in the day when it drawed a pile of dogs.
The Walker Association and along with the Rochester, Silver Lake and Logansport Club put on a great hunt this year!
