Training question
Wondering what you do to stop race horsing when two dogs are hunted together. I know that many will say just don't hunt them together but I'm looking for a way to hunt them together. Any suggestions.

I usually turn one to the left and cut the other to the right. If you must turn them side by side, put in the timber, not on the edge. And definitely not down a trail or old road. Young dog's are gonna horse race some.

race horsing
My last two dogs, before I got sick, I trained to the tone button. The walker would get in a horse race a lot. If I mashed the tone button once she would change whatever she was doing. If I mashed it twice, she would come to me. So, when racing I just pressed the tone button omce and she would immediately quit racing and go hunting.
