The safest, cheapest and best wormer in the world is Ivermectin. It kills everything but tape worms.

Depends on what I'm worming for.
Safeguard goat wormer (fenbendazole) 1ml per 5lbs of body weight 3 days in a row and 1 dose 7 days later. Treats everything but tapes. Ivomec for heartworm prevention .1ml per 10lbs (50lb dog gets .5ml). If the dog has tapeworms you have to get something with praziquantel in it. Dose for weight and repeat in 21 days.

Jen Cummings

Thanks for your post, that's exactly what I use to worm my dogs. The goat worm meds is the cheapest and most effective worm meds you can get for most worms. Dave

I have been using Zimecterin Gold now for quite some time. It is Ivermectin and Praziquantel combined. Gets all the worms. I do switch up every now and then and give just the plain Zimecterin to try and help keep the tapes from building resistance to the wormer. Works for me.

Before that years ago I always used the goat wormer just as stated above. My uncle still does his that way with his rabbit beagles.

praziquantel Can be bought on the internet…just google fish wormer…

1% Ivermectin if given at 1.5 cc for a 50-60 pound dog and given about every 3 months and dogs will be free of worms and fleas including heartworms... Earmites won't survive…if the dogs don't have fleas then they won’t have tape worms…

The way I figure it is this way…lvermectin will kill microfilaria which are heartworm larva and they take 6 months to mature…if I give a double or triple dose it will continue to do its job for over a month maybe two or three…no matter which way you look at it if the higher dose is given every 3 months there is now way a dog can get infected…been doing it this way for many years without a problem…but the first time I write about it…

If the dog has heartworm then it could be a problem…
