Hog dogs?

I am looking for a dog that will take an older track maybe a couple hours old.I got some curs and a walker and pitt cross and bot are good but dont have leave here and hunt like a hound.The one thing I want is a quiet mouth dog.I am thinking about a plott.I have been told they are great gritty dogs.Any help guys?
