Trinidad, CO

Does anyone have any idea how the hunting is around Trinidad, CO. I have plans right now to go to the gun smithing school out there in about 2 years and was just wondering how far I'm going to have to travel for decent hunting. Thanks!

Mulies are big, lots of speed goats, my osha instructor at Red Rocks was from their. Know what there claim to fame is? Sex change capitol of the world. More sex changes are done their then anywhere. After he told us this I decided it wasn't worth hunting or going near trinidad.

Wow! Thats f-ing great, lol! The problem is that their gun smithing school is the best there is. I was hoping for some kind of decent big game hunting with the hounds.

There is great hunting to be had all around Trinidad. You will probably have to travel like 10 minutes. There are some questionable chicks at the bars so don't party to hard or you may get a surprise...lol!

I'm not to worried about partying to hard, the "wife" keeps that in check. Lol! About a year ago I had plans on moving out to Colorado also and everyone kept telling me that I needed to sell my hounds off so I could consentrait on school while I was out there. Well, I listened and did as they said. About a week after I sold the last one I found out that plans were changing. Well now here I sit with only half the hounds I had previously. I tried to buy back all of them, but only half of the guys would sell them back and I had to pay dearly for the ones I got. Two of my start dogs and one young male that was starting to come on like a bandit I wasn't able to get back.
The point is I'm not about to sell off my hounds ever again so I was just checking that I would have some kind of hunting in the area. Thanks all!
