Star Mtn. Plotts west coast ?

A friend of mind asked if I knew of Star Mtn. Plotts . He said they was a guy on the west coast that had them a long time ago. Does anybody know so I could tell him ?

I think it was John Diaz in California.Starplott on here should be able to point you in the right direction.

Yup, he hung it up in 02 or 03. I hung it up in 05. JR hung it up well before 2000.

There are no Star Mtn breeders out west.

Nick Sahagan may still have some Star Mtn blood behind his dogs if he is still hunting and breeding. The last of my breeding stock went to Germany.

There are a few dogs here and there left out of the bloodlines. But most are being outcrossed.

If that is the type of bloodline and traits you are looking for contact Gene White (whitehollow) or look up Houston Valley Plotts. For those types of dogs I'd recommend Houston Valley, I don't know if Gene is still breeding these days.

Rick Anderson in WI breeds heavy Star Mtn dogs... as does Nick Sahagun and Orin Midzinski. Try the Smithdeal Society website. They both get on there. Nick lives in CA and Orin lives in UT. They can get you in touch with others that have those dogs. Good luck.
