Panacur Horse Wormer

Has anyone had any experience in using the Panacure wormer sold for horses (paste) on hounds? I have heard of it being done in the past but have forgotten the details. Thanks, Terry

nope that dose will not over dose. The differance in amounts is because of the differance in each animals digestive system.

be careful using a tube of paste designed to deliver a 1200 pd dose in one shot. Depending on shelf life and how its been stored certian elements can cause the ingredients to seperate in the tube, causing an easy way to overdose.

I use the liquid panacure, the horse and cattle wormer. It is 1/2 cc for 5 pounds. Used it for years, with no problems.

Any of your farm/tractor supply stores should have it or you can find it at the following websites....

I usually use jeffers, vv or horse.com. They all vary on prices and sometimes you can find one cheaper than the other. Alot of these websites also have supplies for small animal as well.

(just type zimectrin gold in the search box.)

www.horse.com

I use both panacur n zimectrin gold . Zimectrin monthly n safe guard every 2-3 months or as needed. Panacur gets the worms that the zimectrin doesn't. I've used them for as long as I can remember n had good success n they won't kill ur wallet.

Safegaurd and Panacur are about the same thing except the price, safegaurd is cheaper. I mix it with water 100cc of water to a 25 gram tube

Here is a thread that lists alot of good info on wormers.
