Congrats to Jared and his new GRNTCH Boone

Boone finished to Grand Nite last night. He has won 7 of the last 8 casts he has been in. Pretty impressive for a 2 year old.

Nice job Jared, it was good to hear from you this morning. You, your crew and Boone have done a great job taking Boone from registered to Grand Nite in a relatively short time. Keep enjoying the process and just watch Boone mature to be even better than he is now.

Now, do yourselves a favor and have him collected as soon as you can so you can keep him ready for the hunts next year.

Congrats and we hope to see you at the fellowship hunt in 3 weeks.

Thanks a lot for the comments. It's nice to know you have the backing of such nice breeders. We are still planning to come in few weeks if it all works out. It's had been a real pleasure to train and hunt such a nice animal. Boone handles great in the woods and is a real pleasure to be around. He is a real low key dog until you "cut" him loose. He loves to hunt and loves to please the person hunting him. He just keeps getting more excited everything you cut him loose. I sure hope he will hunt for ya all in those " big hills" you all got over there. Are ya all supplying in shape handlers for the hunts in few weeks? . I thought that was part of the deal.

GrNtCh Boone has really been clicking these last few weeks winning the last 6 out of the last 8 cast he has entered( correction from above, thats still not a bad percentage). According to the Bloodlines Boone is currently #1 in Redbones on the performance points list for the year and with the win last night should hopefully push that even farther. Boone was finished from his first win in registered to last win in Grand Night in less than a year. I would like to again thank my Dad, Keith and Tyler Pettit for putting Boone in the hunts when i was unavailble to do so. Its hard to go all the time when ya got to youngins at home.

It was great to meet Darrin,Jeff and Dean last night in Marshall. Hopefully will see in a couple of weeks back there. I'm sure glad a Reddog could come over to your club and win with you guys there. All of you have been around redbones for a while and you all are well respected in the redbone breed. Thanks again

I drew out with Jared Hutcheson and the Boone dog last night
at Marshall IL.
A very nice guy with a very nice dog. He won our cast with 575+
and earned first place night champion. This finished Boone to GRNTCh.
Congratulations to Jared,Boone and the breeders of this fine dog.

I truly believe he will make a top stud dog if you choose to do so. Boone should cross very will on about any blood line you breed him to.

Retire him. It looks like it is on to the stud dog pen now. I saw where a fellow down in Mississippi had a female for sale for $200 that sure would be a good cross with Boone on paper. Mr Woofter up in Ohio had one also.

Getting ready for next year

Boone is getting ready for his "Retirement" as Richard put it. Boone is going in tommorrow to get collected. Never done this kinda thing so I hope it turns out ok. I have also sent off his DNA stuff to become a 2013 performance sire to the UKC. Hopefully I will get a set of pups on the ground by early next year.

Richard- I don't think he is quite ready for retirement yet. Im hoping to enter him in some bigger hunts next year depending how much time I have next summer. He and I would both go crazy if he couldn't go to the woods. He has been going stir crazy in the pen he normally doesn't say a word but are running season came to an end and he has been sitting for all most a week and half now. He is gonna be fat and out of shape for those big hills out east.

As soon as I get home from Georgia our kill season will be in
And we will start our training sessions with tater.
By the end of kill season she should be doing it by herself regularly.
