Bill

Diesel and Clear River Blue Misty were out of a female out of Bum and Joey. I've got a 6 generation pedigree on Diesel here at the office. I get time and I'll type it out for you or I'll call you in a little while.

Bill

Your welcome. I thought that was a cool looking cross on paper. From what I was told, Mama was a real coon dog that just never got taken to town because the guy didn't like competition hunts. I was told that Jim Smalling tried to buy her but the guy who owned Mama wouldn't sell her so she was bred to Clear River Diamond Jim and that produced Clear River Misty, another nice line bred cross. Then Misty was bred to Bullet II several times with a good number of the pups making Grand Night and Nt Ch. Just a little more info for you. Maybe we can make a hunt together in 2013.

Things are getting a little easier for me to make plans now. Even got me a little Plymouth Vibe that I can throw a crate in the back of and go somewhere without breaking the bank to put gas in it. I'll look like my Dad's son for sure when people see me driving around in it with a Blue Dog in the back. lol. Haven't even got 30 head of dogs to care for anymore. My youngest is now 17 and I still don't have a woman to try to keep me from hunting. Surely I can find some time to take a hunt with you if you can find some time. But wait till the snow melts, we don't want the dogs to have to go "DEEP" to tree one. lol.

Mama

Sure would love to get my hands on a pup that was as close to that old stuff as she shows.

There was a dog named Max, I believe, that placed at Bluetick Days a few years back that was a brother to Mama if I remember correctly. I was thinking today that Diesel and Missy were off Mama who was off Joey. David Smith's Nt Ch female and her Gr Nt sister go back to Joey, and I think Darrion Dillons Magic dog does too. Seems like some pretty good stuff has some of Joey's genes.

joey

Joey won open registered at bluetickdays at west plains , the next year she won gr nts 2 out of the 3 nights. She went from open registered to Gr Nt in 11 hunts. I also made her a PKC champion in limited hunts. I would like to have another one like her today.

That females brothers name was NT.ch.flying blue Max he won high scoring bluetick male at autumn oaks I handled he a bunch nice dog and threw some nice ones

Hey Toney

If there's another one out there like her I would like you to have her too!HAHA

Jeff and Gary Story was willing to let us breed Joey to Bum. They had plans to breed her to Bullet but we talked them into goin on with this cross. Some nice dogs came out of that. Gary's gone now, God Bless him, he was one of a kind. There was never a dull moment when hunting with him, I guarantee!

The story of Bullet and Joey is interesting to me. Tony owned both these hounds, sold them both over 10 hours away from him to two different owners yet both hounds never lived over a mile from the other the rest of their lives.

I spent many nights with Bullet, Bum and Joey. Although bred so similar you wouldn't find three hounds so different yet all three being top hounds.

Hey Tony...didn't you get queen of 1998 Bluetick Days with Joey? I know you beat Cody Wheeler both nights handling Lil. I don't ever recall another hound beating Lil two nights in a row. To me that is a high praise to Joey at that point in her life.
