competition hunters / Team Work?

Who are some serious competition hunters in the blue breed?

I have this idea in my head and it will take a few guys for it to work.

Thanks

I no longer volunteer until I know the rules of the game.

I am. I played around with the purina race in 04 when I was in college until I had an unlucky few weeks and seen slugger was running away with it! Just crossed over to PKC a couple years ago. I like to hit some of the bigger ukc hunts but would rather hunt PKC any day! Just bought a SS echo breed pup from Oklahoma Im hoping to light the world on fire with in a year or so

Thanks for the replies. I am looking for a couple guys who hit the hunts hard to partner up on a pup or two.

We are just thinking out loud right now. We would like to be able to have the dogs hunted in different parts of the country by guys who know what a top hound is and how to get one ready. To push them in the hunts and to make a run at the world hunts.

Again still just thinking out loud and would like to hear thoughts and suggestions.

Thanks

Justin

When Ed and I won the purina race and triple crown in 2006 with Jet 8 it was very much a team effort. I hunted 8 most of the time here and Jeff and I would roll down the highway and hunt the race. Terry Tucker,Rich Cline,Cw Eldridge Ed and I along with others helped. If up in Mich, Ed and the guys hunted him. When we won the winter clasic, we would go down early and hunt at CW's place to get the hounds adjusted. One main ingredient people fail at and over look is hauling. Alot of hounds just don't haul worth a dang. Jet 7 was that way. Took him a few days to get over it. I have a nice young hound at the kennel now and my problem with her is I can't hear her much over a half mile. Extremely nice for 17 months old! I for one need a hound with a big mouth these days. I have a 50% hearing loss in both ears. If ya can't here'em, its hard to put'em on the paper. I'm hoping the pups I have now have alot bigger mouth along with a few other traits. I've feel that if I was to have another top young hound, a male, I will go about things alot different than the last ones. Studding them at a early age will be out of the question! I'll certainly be looking for a top handler to haul one. Problem there is getting your hands on an honest one that do what they say they are doing. With me trying to grow a bussiness so I can retire early takes up alot of my time. hard part is finding one that fits what I'm looking for!! Always is!!

I work the perfect job to hunt a dog up or travel to the hunts, but only 3 weeks at a time. I work on the river and I'm gone 21 days straight. Then I get home an have 21 days off! I'm always trying to find someone to keep them tuned in while I'm gone! And while I'm home I sure love to travel to hunts as long as I'm packing something iv got confidence in
